The online conversation Monday night between X/Twitter owner Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, shattered records, and sent the Left into a tailspin. Now Trump has released a recording of the entire event.
Multiple liberal media outlets, including the Washington Post and CNN, accused Musk of asking Trump “softball questions,” and mocked the “technical glitches” Musk first experienced, as the millions of people trying to listen in appeared to crash the system at first.
The Washington Post lamented that Musk “focused on comfortable topics for Trump, such as undocumented immigration.” And CNN claimed, “Musk asked Trump softball questions that allowed the former president to stick to his talking points, including on immigration and the economy.”
CNN also claimed that the “two men heaped praise on each other,” without acknowledging their own network’s support of Democrats.
Musk has endorsed Trump and made a “significant” donation to a PAC supporting Trump’s campaign.
On his Truth Social page, Trump wrote, “I spent 2 1/2 hours last night talking to Elon, a fantastic guy, getting all-time record Views/hits, and all the Fake News wants to report is that the servers crashed (because of the tremendous volume!), and the show opened a little late. What they should be reporting was the incredible number of people that were listening. I absolutely HATE the Fake News Media. So bad for our Country!”
Tuesday afernoon, Trump posted a recording of his entire two-hour conversation with Musk on his X/Twitter page.
