The liberal meltdown over President Donald Trump demolishing the East Wing of the White House to build a much-needed ballroom is getting more bizarre by the day.
Now at least one Republican congress member is declaring that any Democrat running for president in 2028 must promise they will demolish the new ballroom Trump is building on Day One, if they are elected.
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), who is infamously known for having had an affair around 2012-2014 with a woman (Fang Fang) who turned out to be a Chinese spy, has declared that Trump’s ballroom must not be allowed to stand.
“Don’t even think of seeking the Democratic nomination for president unless you pledge to take a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE,” Swalwell fumed in a post on X Saturday.
“***Or, as @RubenGallego proposes, rename it the Barack Obama Ballroom. But a Trump monument to corruption will not stand,” he added.

Swalwell’s post has generated over 13,000 comments, and he is being pounded over it.
“You and Feng Feng are not invited to the new ballroom,” one person snarked.
“Or name it the Fang Fang Ballroom. You would like that,” another person taunted.
Marti Withani wrote, “Translation: “even though the ballroom is a gorgeous addition and will host prestigious dignitaries and world class performers for unparalleled events, we hate Trump so rip it out and go back to sitting people in a tent on muddy grass, next to the Porto-potties”.”
Journalist Kristi Leigh pointed out, “And there is is. Dems only know how to destroy. Build nothing of worth.”

Podcaster Alec Lace wrote, “Taxpayers will overpay for the Democrats ballroom demolition while Trump charged them nothing to build it.”

The backlash is still pouring in…
You think being so petty to waste tax dollars to tear down something that was privately funded will win over the American people?
What is wrong with you? – Perhaps that’s not the right question, since there are many answers to that one.

Oh yes let’s destroy 250 million dollars like a toddler. That’ll get the vote.

Please run on that, I beg you. You guys think this kind of talk will work, but it is paving the path for JD Vance to be #48.

Yeah let’s spend taxpayers dollars to demo new construction that was funded by private donors. Sounds like a democrat thing to do lol

Great idea- tear down a brand new addition- worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Pure genius here!
