From The Hill: President Trump has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the start of a tour of the Middle East that will include visits to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

He was joined by a plethora of top advisers, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and scores of other worldwide business leaders.

The trip marks Trump’s first extended foreign visit of his second term. His itinerary Tuesday includes an official state visit, a state dinner and attending a Saudi investment forum.

More from CBS News: President Trump is set to deliver remarks Tuesday at a U.S.-Saudi investment summit and will sign agreements for the Pentagon, Justice Department, FBI and other agencies to cooperate with their Saudi Arabian counterparts.

Mr. Trump and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced multiple economic and defense agreements, an indication of Mr. Trump’s intent to deepen U.S.-Saudi ties, despite long-held concerns from State Department reports and human rights groups about its restriction of civil liberties and political rights.

Specifically, the president and crown prince signed agreements for judicial cooperation between the Ministry of Justice in Saudi Arabia and the U.S. Department of Justice, coordination between the Pentagon and Saudi Ministry of Defense for modernization and development of the capabilities of the Saudi armed forces; and an international partnership program between the Saudi Ministry of Interior and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, although the White House has yet to release further details.

Below are key highlights of Trump’s trip so far on Tuesday:

During the flight to Saudi Arabia, Fox News host Sean Hannity interviewed President Trump aboard Air Force One:

Air Force One was escorted into landing by Saudi fighter jets:

President Trump was welcomed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman upon landing.

Accompanying Trump on the trip are Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

President Trump then departed the Royal Court following an official state visit with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

President Trump now heads to the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center for the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum.
