President Donald Trump delivered an address to House Republicans at their member retreat Tuesday morning, held at the Trump-Kennedy Performing Arts Center in Washington, D.C.

Trump first paid tribute to Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-Calif.), 65, who passed away suddenly on Monday.

“I want to express our tremendous sorrow at the loss of a great member — a great, great, great member — Congressman Doug LaMalfa, who passed away yesterday… our hearts go out to his wife, Jill and his entire family,” the president said.

Trump also commented on the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, and said, “The United States proved once again that we have the most powerful, most lethal, most sophisticated, and most fearsome military on planet earth — and it’s not even close… Nobody could’ve done that.”

He slammed critics of the capture, and said, “He’s a violent guy, and he has killed millions of people. They have a torture chamber in the middle of Caracas.”

President Trump warned Republicans that they must win the midterms and hold the GOP majority.

“If we don’t win the midterms…[Democrats will] find a reason to impeach me… I’ll get impeached,” he warned.

Sure enough…. just days ago, Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell touted that they will definitely start trying to impeach Trump and members of his administration if Democrats win back the majority.

Trump told Republicans Tuesday morning, “You ought to have Voter ID. You ought to insist on it… The only reason somebody doesn’t want that is because they want to cheat… You ought to pass the SAVE Act or whatever you’re going to call it.”

Trump joked that First Lady Melania Trump hates it when he acts “unpresidential,” including his dancing.

“I said, ‘Everybody wants me to dance….’ And I have to say this, the dancing, they really like,” he argued.

“She said, ‘They don’t like it. They’re just being nice to you,'” Trump said his wife told him.

Trump also mocked the paid protesters marching in the streets.

The president noted that some of his critics have slammed him for traveling.

“When I travel, I make a lot of money for the country… I have plenty of money, I don’t need money… I want to make money for the country,” he said.

President Trump also addressed other issues, such as the economy, and healthcare. He argued that instead of sending federal money to insurance companies, the money should go directly to the people, and let them shop for their own insurance coverage.

Despite the First Lady’s objections, Trump wrapped up his speech with the “Trump dance.”
