Multiple victims of the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein spoke out on Capitol Hill this week, first in a closed-door meeting before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, and then in a press conference outside the Capitol building on Wednesday.
The women, who all say they were groomed by Ghislaine Maxwell and sexually abused by Epstein when they were teens, are speaking out in support of a bipartisan bill demanding that the federal government release ALL documents related the the investigations into Epstein’s crimes.
This comes after the House Oversight Committee released nearly 34,000 pages of documents Tuesday night.
From Fox News: A lawyer representing victims of Jeffrey Epstein said Wednesday that the American public is “going to be appalled” about documents relating to the disgraced late financier that have not been released by the federal government.
“The government has mistreated them after Jeffrey Epstein mistreated them,” Bradley Edwards said of the victims in Washington, D.C.
Edwards spoke during a news conference that is part of an effort by Reps. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., and Thomas Massie, R-Ky., to pass through the House a procedural motion known as a discharge petition, which could force a House vote urging the Justice Department to release the Epstein files.
“We filed lawsuits against Jeffrey Epstein, against his estate and against two financial institutions – JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank – that prove that they provided, knowingly provided the financial infrastructure for a sex trafficking operation. Unfortunately, all of the documents and evidence that we have worked so hard to gather hide behind protective orders, confidentiality agreements and bank secrecy laws,” Edwards said.
The Hill explained that Massie and Khanna’s petition, which would force a vote on the House floor on a bill requiring the DOJ to release all their files on Epstein and Maxwell, needs at least 218 votes. Since all 212 Democrats are expected to support it, they need at least 6 Republicans to join the effort as well. Four are already on board: Reps. Massie, Nancy Mace (S.C.), Lauren Boebert (Colo.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.).
During the outdoor press conference Wednesday morning, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of the speakers, and insisted this isn’t a political issue.
Lawyer Bradley Edwards noted that when the investigation first began years ago, Donald Trump was very helpful in providing information to aid them in the case, although he emphasized that no allegations were directed against Trump. None of the women who spoke made any allegations against Trump, although they did note that Epstein used to brag about his friendship with Trump.
Edwards also said Epstein did not keep a “list” of the people he farmed the girls out to. However, he said the victims all know the names, but are afraid to publicly identify them, especially if nothing will ever be done about it.
Epstein’s victims took turns sharing their stories.
Victim Lisa Phillips said, “We know the names. Many of us were abused by them. Now, together as survivors, we will confidentially compile the names we all know.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said if they will give her the list, she will absolutely release it, so the victims themselves aren’t targeted over it.
I’m not afraid to say the names.
Jeffrey Epstein’s cabal of politicians, bureaucrats, and elites who turned a blind eye must be held accountable.
This is the product of past administrations, Republican and Democrat, trying to silence victims.

Other victims who spoke at the event included Jena-Lisa Jones, who said she “was only 14 years old when my friend brought me over to Jeffrey Epstein’s house in Palm Beach in 2003.”
Another victim, Anouska de Georgiou, explained that she “was abused by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell for over ten years.”
Yet another victim, Marina Lacerda said she was “one of dozens of girls that I personally know who was forced into Jeffrey mansion … when we were just kids.”
Lacerda said she was 14 when she was told she could earn $300 “to give an older guy a massage.”
“Today is the first time that I ever speak publicly about what happened to me. I never thought that I would find myself here,” Lacerda said.
Annie Farmer also spoke out about the abuse she and her sister endured by Epstein.
Victim Haley Robson asked, “Why was he so protected? And why didn’t anyone ever care to stop him?”
Victim Teresa Helm slammed officials for giving Ghislaine Maxwell a voice, referencing the recent interview by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and asked why they weren’t allowed to be present for that. From the Daily Caller:
“She got this air time and platform …way before our voices were elevated here today,” Helm said.
“That same calm and manipulative voice that she had, so polite there that day with Todd Blanche, was the same polite, coercive, and manipulative voice I heard as she was grooming me to send me off to the home of Jeffrey Epstein, where he would assault me. So that’s what she was doing for hours: speaking with me, building a relationship with me, building trust with me,” she stated.
“I sat there and listened to this woman’s voice lie. There was no pushback from Todd Blanche because, does he even have the facts to push back on her? We couldn’t sit there and push back,” Helm said.

Below is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s speech.
For decades, the rich and powerful protected Jeffrey Epstein while innocent women and children lived in silence and shame.
That shame does NOT belong to the victims, it belongs to every politician, bureaucrat, and elite who turned a blind eye.
