JUST IN: Trump confirms support for woman he wants to run for Gov of WY

0

President Donald Trump announced in a Truth Social post Friday evening that if one particular Wyoming Republican runs for governor of her state, she will have his full endorsement.

The president is urging Megan Degenfelder, the Wyoming Superintendent of Schools, to run for office. She is a staunch supporter of Trump, and is a lifelong Republican.

Degenfelder, who is around 36 or 37 years old, has been the Wyoming Superintendent of Schools since the 2022 election. She previously worked in the oil and gas industry, “where she fought back against the Obama and Biden Administrations and worked to lessen regulatory burdens on the state’s largest revenue generating industries,” according to her website.

Her husband, Bryan, is an anesthesiologist, and they live in Laramie, Wyoming.

President Trump’s announcement reads:

Many of my strongest supporters and friends in Wyoming have been calling and telling me how great “MAGA” Megan Degenfelder is, because she is considering launching a Campaign to be the next Governor of the Great State of Wyoming, a place I love and WON BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024. From everything I know about her, she would be fantastic!

A Sixth Generation Wyomingite, and Wyoming’s very popular Superintendent of Public Instruction, Megan has dedicated her life to serving her Community. If she is your next Governor, Megan will work tirelessly to Champion Wyoming Values, Promote our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Advance MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Support our Brave Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement, Safeguard our Elections, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment.

Should she decide to enter this Race, “MAGA” Megan Degenfelder has my Complete and Total Endorsement. RUN, MEGAN, RUN!

From all indications, Degenfelder is really going to run. She responded to Trump’s post by writing, “When my President calls on me to serve my state and my country, I answer. Stay tuned friends!”

Degenfelder was at the White House in March, when President Trump signed an order to dismantle the Department of Education.
