FROM DAILY MAIL: Authorities confirmed that Travis Decker, who was accused of killing his three young little girls, is dead after a months-long manhunt.

US Marshals declared the 33-year-old veteran ‘deceased,’ according to a report obtained by TMZ. The grim announcement came after remains believed to belong to Decker were discovered in the dense Washington wilderness.

The finding occurred three months after his daughters Paityn, nine, Evelyn, eight, and Olivia, five, were found dead.

His body was found in a remote wooded area near Leavenworth, where there have been coordinated efforts to track Decker down.

The girls’ mother reported them missing on May 30 after Decker, who had been struggling with his mental health, failed to return them home after a three-hour custody visit.

When police investigated, they found the murdered girls with bags over their heads at a remote campsite in the Washington Cascades. Nearby they found more plastic bags, zip ties, Decker’s dog, and his truck with a bloody fingerprint on its tailgate.

After investigators located a body wearing clothing that matched the latest description of Decker, they used DNA to confirm that the remains were his.

A federal law enforcement source confirmed to TMZ that the remains belonged to Decker.

Authorities have also matched Decker’s DNA profile to the genetic material found in the plastic bags and zip ties.
