From the Daily Mail: Tucker Carlson has announced he is buying property in Qatar while denying ever taking money from the Gulf state.
The former Fox News host made the admission when he interviewed Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani at the Doha Forum on Sunday.
‘I have been criticized as being a tool of Qatar, and I just want to say – which you already know – which is I have never taken anything from your country and don’t plan to,’ Carlson told the world leader.
‘I am, however, tomorrow buying a place in Qatar,’ he then revealed.
‘I like the city, I think it’s beautiful, but also to make a statement that I’m an American and a free man and I’ll be wherever I want to be. I have not taken any money from Qatar, but I have now given money to Qatar.’
On Sunday, investigative journalist Laura Loomer posted a video of Carlson’s admission and called him out on it. Loomer wrote:

Speaking on stage at the Doha Forum in Qatar, @TuckerCarlson told Qatar’s Prime Minister Al Thani that he is buying a place in Qatar this week because he’s an “American” and he will live and go wherever he wants. Tucker says he’s never taken anything from Qatar.
@RealOmeedMalik is sitting up front, and he can be seen clapping. Qatar is the financier of the Muslim Brotherhood and they continue to allow HAMAS officials to live in Doha, where Tucker now wants to buy a place to live. The Prime Minister then admitted Qatar spends “a lot of money on lobbying” by paying for people to come to Qatar so they can “protect” the US-Qatari relationship.

Loomer shared another video, and wrote:
Prime Minister of Qatar just admitted to @TuckerCarlson that Qatar pays for everyone to come to Qatar and say nice things about Qatar. He said this is their way of “lobbying” to get people to stop saying Qatar sponsors terrorism.
So how come the influencers traveling to Qatar aren’t registering as lobbyists? The Prime Minister just said on stage at @DohaForum QATAR IS FOCUSED ON FOREIGN LOBBYING.
The whole point of Doha Forum is to normalize terrorists through financial bribery and unregistered foreign lobbying so that Qatar can start undermining US foreign policy and mainstream Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood around the world.
People who are engaged in unregistered foreign lobbying for Qatar should be investigated. Members of Congress should be calling for investigations into Americans who are taking bribes from Qatar as unregistered lobbyists.
The Trump administration needs to get the Qatar problem under control. It’s wildly inappropriate for Qatar to have this much influence over US politics.
There is no disinformation campaign about Qatar. Even the Saudis and Emiratis kept Qatar at a distance because of their support for Islamic terrorism and Qatar’s funneling of cash to Iran for the sake of destabilizing the Middle East.
Al Thani’s comments are a form of revisionist history.

In a follow-up post, Loomer added:
As we all know, real estate is another way to launder money. @TuckerCarlson thinks he’s being cute and funny by saying “Qatar hasn’t paid me! I am paying Qatar” when he says he’s buying a place to live in Qatar this week. The PM of Qatar even said “hopefully a big one, not cheap one.”
The Qatari government could easily give Tucker Carlson a multi million dollar home as “compensation” and then only make him pay $1 for it, and Tucker could still say he bought it.
There’s a lot of ways to launder money and pay someone off. Tucker isn’t fooling anyone. He’s just upset more people have caught on.
Unless the public sees the real estate documents, this is very likely just Qatar washing money to Tucker through “property”.
