JAW-DROPPING: Former ‘worst mayor in America’ switches parties, moves to new state for comeback bid

3

From Fox News: The former embattled Democratic mayor of a Chicago suburb is running for a seat in Georgia as a Republican after relocating to the area following her scandal-plagued tenure in office.

Tiffany Henyard, who once declared herself a “super mayor,” is the lone GOP candidate for South Fulton County’s District 5 on the Fulton County Commission, according to election records.

She is facing off against four Democratic opponents.

Henyard has a contentious political history. She made national headlines in 2024 after officials in her administration were served with subpoenas from the FBI in response to an alleged corruption investigation.

Henyard, 42, was mayor of Dalton, Illinois from 2021 to 2025, and lost the Democrat primary in an 88% landslide defeat when she tried to run for re-election in February 2025. Although she has not been charged, Henyard is the subject of a federal investigation into how she blew through massive amounts of taxpayer money while serving as mayor. She is accused of funneling thousands of taxpayer dollars toward herself.

Henyard’s former landlord in Chicago also obtained a $10,000 judgement against her, for failing to pay rent.

Henyard is well known for her defiant defense when local residents were questioning her wild spending on luxury trips and lavish lifestyle.

“Ya’ll should be ashamed of yourselves because you all black & you sitting here attacking a black woman in power!” she fumed during a city council meeting in February 2024.

Henyard has now moved to Atlanta and has reportedly been promoting herself as a clothing retailer.

Now, she’s running for political office in Fulton County, Georgia… as a Republican.

Jordan Wells, a conservative pastor, blasted out a warning:

“From ‘Super Mayor’ Scandal to Georgia Comeback: Ousted Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard Now Running for Fulton County Commission as a Republican?!”🚨

The controversial ex-mayor of Dolton, Illinois—**Tiffany Henyard**, the self-proclaimed “Super Mayor” who was ousted after driving the village toward bankruptcy with excessive spending, lavish travel, unchecked credit card use, and multiple investigations (including by the FBI and a probe led by former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot)—has relocated to Atlanta.

Now she’s qualified as a **Republican** candidate for Fulton County Commission (District 5), despite a trail of unpaid bills (including a recent court order to pay $10K in back rent) and leaving behind a mountain of grievances, lawsuits, and financial chaos in Illinois.

From “Super Mayor” to southern comeback? Fulton County voters, proceed with caution—this one’s got baggage.
