The day the letter was posted on Joe Biden’s social media account announcing the suspension of his 2024 presidential campaign just happened to be a federally-recognized “holiday”.
Sunday, July 21, was National Ice Cream Day, a federally-recognized day, first formally designated by then-President Ronald Reagan in 1984. In his proclamation, Reagan officially designed the third Sunday in July to be National Ice Cream Day, and he also declared the entire month of July to be “National Ice Cream Month.”
It is a well-known fact that Joe Biden loves ice cream, which the media gushed over. So the realization that Biden was forced to abandon his quest for re-election on National Ice Cream Day is being met with mockery on social media.
Podcast host Clay Travis wrote, “Democrats really made Joe Biden step down on national ice cream day.”
