ICE, ICE, BABY: Dean Cain sets the record straight about being an ICE agent

3

Actor Dean Cain tried to follow his conscience and promote a call by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for recruitment, but he ended up joining the agency himself.

It all started on August 5, when Cain told his followers that he’d seen a need to support first responders, so he’d joined law enforcement years ago. He said now ICE has a need, and asked that anyone inclined to should apply to join and protect America.

Somehow, this was interpreted to mean he had joined ICE. Multiple outlets reported it, and even Fox News’ Jesse Waters alluded to it.

As we reported yesterday, the video didn’t seem to support the headlines.

Cain set the record straight on Wednesday, joining Jesse Waters to explain that while he was not announcing he had joined ICE in the video, the headlines and reactions on social media had convinced him to contact ICE. He will now be sworn in as an agent very soon.
