ICE BARBIE GOES SHOPPING: Noem splurges Boeing 737s bought to deport illegal migrants

From Daily MailThe Secretary of Homeland Security has approved a $143 million contract for six Boeing 737 jets to deport undocumented migrants.

Kristi Noem has signed off on the deal with the private corporation Daedalus Aviation, two officials familiar with the contract told The Washington Post.

The deal breaks precedent as DHS has previously relied on charter flights to deport migrants back to their home countries.

The agreement means Immigration and Customs Enforcement will operate its own fleet of aircraft used exclusively for deportations.

$143 million will come from the Republican sponsored Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, confirmed the purchase in a post on X.

Responding to the Washington Post story, McLaughlin wrote, “*Somehow* the @washingtonpost forgot to include anywhere in their story that this new initiative will save the US taxpayer $279 MILLION.

“I guess they didn’t want the public to know? These planes will allow ICE to operate more effectively, including by using more efficient flight patterns.

“President Trump and @Sec_Noem are committed to quickly and efficiently getting criminal illegal aliens OUT of our country.”
