From the New York Post: Hunter Biden fled last week to South Africa for a luxury vacation — with round-the-clock Secret Service protection — avoiding a grueling deposition scheduled for this week in a California lawsuit.

California District Court Judge Herman Vera granted Hunter’s motion to dismiss the case Thursday after the former first son claimed he was too broke to continue suing former Trump staffer Garrett Ziegler and his nonprofit Marco Polo.

But photographs show Hunter was already in Cape Town the day the case was dismissed, staying in a $500-a-night beachfront villa described on its website as an “ultra-luxurious designer home with spectacular 180 degrees unobstructed views of the sea.”

Ziegler’s lawyers alleged to the court last week that Hunter had fled to South Africa to potentially “avoid his deposition in this case,” which was set for this week, after originally being planned for February.

“He was in South Africa before the judge even decided the case,” Ziegler said Friday.

Hunter’s wife, Melissa Cohen, is from South Africa. The pair were reportedly seen walking around the high-end shopping district of Cape Town with their Secret Service detail this week.

MORE STUNNING NEWS: New York Post writer Miranda Devine notes that Hunter actually does not qualify for Secret Service protection, as that only applies to former presidents’ children aged under 16.

However, before leaving office, Joe Biden reportedly issued an executive memorandum which indefinitely extends Secret Service protection for his son.

Investigative journalist Laura Loomer provided the scoop on the story to the New York Post, along with photos of Hunter and his wife in South Africa. According to Loomer, a total of 18 Secret Service agents — three shifts of four agents plus six backup agents – have traveled with Hunter to protect him while he’s in South Africa.

Devine notes that Democrats protested heavily when President Trump extended Secret Service protection to his four adult children for just six months after he left office the first time.

But now, Joe Biden has reportedly given Secret Service to Hunter “indefinitely”, all at taxpayer expense.

In addition, former Vice Presidents, their spouses, and children under 16 typically receive Secret Service protection for up to six months after leaving office. But according to Loomer, Joe Biden allegedly gave Kamala Harris Secret Service protection for 18 months – 3 times the normal amount.
