From the New York Post: A 7-month-old girl was shot dead in her stroller by a stray bullet while walking with her parents in Brooklyn, with cops now looking for a pair of moped-riding thugs, according to law enforcement sources.
The family was strolling near Humboldt and Moore streets early in the afternoon when the shots rang out, and the two suspected gunmen sped off — with a person of interest now in custody, the sources said.
The tot’s mom heard the shots and rushed her daughter into a nearby bodega — then looked down at the stroller and saw the blood, according to the sources.
The youngster was rushed by ambulance to Woodhull Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:46 p.m.
A witness at the hospital described the heartbreaking moment the 7-month-old baby girl was brought into the hospital, and said she heard the mother crying, “My baby, my baby… Save my baby, save my baby!”
The witness said she heard the heart monitor beep going off and knew the baby was gone.
“They came and told the mother and she went crazy. She lost it. Then the last thing I heard her say was, ‘No, no, no!’ She was just screaming out, ‘No. I can’t believe this,'” the woman recalled.
The report explains that police found the moped about a mile away from the shooting, and nabbed a “person of interest” about a manhunt operation.
Police released an image from surveillance footage which shows the two thugs on the moped, with the shooter firing away.

NY Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, issued a statement and claimed, “We must keep working to end gun violence.”
My heart is heavy today after a baby’s life was stolen by this senseless act of gun violence in Brooklyn.
I’m praying for this child’s family and loved ones.
May they rest in peace.
We must keep working to end gun violence.https://t.co/1CdyCxfgPA
