From the New York Post: “60 Minutes” ran a highly partisan segment likening President Trump to a cold-blooded mob boss Sunday — even as its corporate parent, Paramount Global, is currently in talks to settle a $20 billion lawsuit with the Trump administration over election interference.
Correspondent Scott Pelley — who recently accused his bosses at Paramount of restricting journalistic independence in an astonishing on-air rant — compared the executive orders the president has enacted against multiple law firms to how a “mob boss” would use intimidation tactics.
“The fact is that these law firms are being told, ‘If you don’t play ball with us, maybe somethin’ really bad will happen to you,’” he said during Sunday night’s episode.
Pelley also sat down with Marc Elias, a longtime rival of Trump and a former Perkins Coie partner hired by the Kamala Harris 2024 presidential campaign, in the one-sided segment.
“Donald Trump is the walking embodiment of everything that is wrong with the American political system,” said Elias, who first crossed paths with Trump while a part of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

News host Bill O’Reilly blasted 60 Minutes over the hit piece against Trump. He wrote:
“Just watched another anti-Trump hit piece on 60 Minutes. Without debating the merits of President Trump using his power to punish law firms he doesn’t like, I will report that CBS correspondent Scott Pelley glorified a lawyer named Marc Elias who worked for the Clinton campaign in 2016 and was up to his eyeballs in the phony Russian collusion story. Somehow, Scott failed to mention that.
“He also did not feature one pro-Trump lawyer but used three attorneys critical of the President. This is wrong and 60 Minutes has to know it. Again, I am not litigating this. Trump may be wrong. But CBS News once again did not present the full story in their jihad against Donald Trump. Shame on them. More on the No Spin News Monday.”

Marc Elias was deeply involved in funding the salacious and now-debunked “Russia collusion” dossier against then-candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Elias, a lawyer who represented the DNC and the Clinton campaign, retained a Washington firm, Fusion GPS, who then hired British spy Christopher Steele to prepare the scandalous document in a desperate attempt to defeat Trump.
