From the New York Post: Terrifying video shows the moment a minivan ploughed into a tractor-trailer making an outrageous rogue U-turn on a Florida highway last week — with all three people in the van killed and the truck’s illegal-migrant driver now charged with homicide.
The roadway horror happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday on the Florida Turnpike near Fort Pierce when the tractor-trailer driven by suspect Harjinder Singh made a hard left turn across the highway and attempted to cross the median through an “official use only” pass, authorities said.
The truck’s trailer blocked all of oncoming traffic’s lanes as it nosed over the median — with footage from inside its cab showing a black minivan driving toward it with no time to stop and nowhere to turn to avoid a collision.
Within seconds, the minivan slammed into the trailer at full speed and became wedged underneath.
Two passengers in the minivan, a 37-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man, were killed instantly, while the 30-year-old driver later died at a hospital.
The truck driver, Harjinder Singh, who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border into the U.S. illegally in 2018, and his passenger, were not injured.
Dashcam footage, along with video of the aftermath of the crash, is going viral all over multiple social media platforms. One video posted by “Bonehead Truckers” has gotten over 15.3 million views.
Another video posted by “Unlimited L’s” has gotten over 19 million views.
Reactions are pouring in, as many people are not only outraged by the careless, unlawful maneuver that caused the crash, but also by the driver’s emotionless reaction, the fact that he is an illegal alien, and the fact that despite being an illegal alien, he was able to obtain a commercial driver’s license in the state of California.

That has been my question….Its almost as if one of the drivers took the footage and posted it on social media…No remorse. I know law enforcement wouldn’t do it. It was emailed to me…It was already on FB by that time…

In a press release posted on Facebook, the Florida Department of Highway Safety announced:
On August 12, 2025, State Troopers responded to a crash on Florida’s Turnpike occurring in St. Lucie County. The crash involved a mini-van and a commercial semi-truck and trailer. Based upon our initial, but on-going criminal investigation, it is evident that the driver of the commercial semi-truck recklessly, and without regard for the safety of others, attempted to execute a U-Turn utilizing an unauthorized location. As a result of his actions, the three occupants of the mini-van are now deceased.
State troopers obtained a criminal arrest warrant for the driver, Harjinder Singh, for three (3) counts of vehicular homicide. During the course of this criminal investigation and with the assistance of immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), State Troopers determined that Harjinder Singh entered the United States illegally, having crossed the Mexico border in 2018. The Defendant then obtained a Commercial driver’s license in the state of California.
Under the federal authority delegated by ICE to FHP State Troopers through the 287 (g) program, state troopers issued an ICE detainer.
“The actions taken by the Defendant while operating a commercial tractor-trailer are both shocking and criminal,” said Executive Director Dave Kerner. “Three people lost their lives as a result of his recklessness, and countless friends and family members will experience the pain of their loss forever. Harjinder Singh is in custody on state vehicular homicide charges adn immigration violations. He will no longer be ab le to damage and destroy the lives of Floridians and visitors. At the conclusion of his state charges, he will be deported. The Florida Highway Patrol remains committed to enforcing both state and federal law to ensure that people that are a danger to others face justice behind bars.”
DMLNewsApp founder Dennis Michael Lynch posted a screenshot from the video and wrote, “This illegal alien truck driver, who caused a HUGE wreck by making an illegal turn on the highway and thus, killed innocent people, has been arrested for vehicular homicide and will be deported, Florida officials announced.”
“Harjinder Singh got a CDL in the sanctuary state of California. The governor of CALI and every city official who harbors illegals should be held as coconspirators. If you agree, comment and share.”
Sharing additional screenshots, DML added, “These are the alleged semi-truck drivers who k*lled three people while making a U-turn at an “Official Use Only” turn on the Florida Turnpike. The Florida Highway Patrol is describing the wreck as a homicide investigation. You see what I see?”
