President-elect Donald Trump and SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son announced Monday at Mar-a-Lago a $100 billion investment in U.S. projects over the next four years, aiming to create 100,000 jobs, according to sources.
Similar to Son’s 2016 pledge of $50 billion and 50,000 jobs—later growing to $75 billion—this investment will focus on AI and AI infrastructure, including energy, data centers, and chips.
New presidents and presidents-elect often announce major corporate investments to highlight a revival of American industry.
