FROM DAILY MAIL: Pasta products sold nationwide are being recalled because they may contain deadly allergens that were not listed on the packaging.
Gooder Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling five lots of Vegan Is Believin’ Plant Based White Cheddar with Spirals because they may contain milk not included on the ingredients label.
It is also recalling three lots of Here Comes Truffle Creamy Truffle Flavored Cheddar and Shells because they may contain cashew – also not listed on the label.
Up to 50million Americans are lactose intolerant, estimates suggest, while 6.1million have an allergy to milk.
Meanwhile, four million are allergic to tree nuts, which include cashews.
The FDA recall notice stated: “Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk and/or cashew may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.”
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announced the nationwide recall of a pasta product due to undeclared allergens. https://t.co/8QteZZ7p4X
