Gov. Walz fans the flames amid anti-ICE protests, Trump administration fires back

Democrat Governor Tim Walz claims he is asking the anti-ICE protesters to “remain peaceful,” but he is continuing to call on them to stay in the streets and harass ICE agents by filming their activities with their phones.

“If you see ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit ‘record,'” Walz urged in a video released on Wednesday. He declared the videos are needed to “bank evidence for future prosecution.”

In response, the protesters became even more violent Wednesday night, after an ICE agent shot an illegal alien Venezuelan in the leg when he and two other illegal aliens violently beat the agent with a snow shovel and a broom handle.

The mob even demolished at least one vehicle belonging to ICE, breaking its windows, spray painting it with vile graffiti, and stealing the weapons box out of the back of the vehicle.

Walz released the following statement Thursday morning:

“I am making a direct appeal to the President: Let’s turn the temperature down. Stop this campaign of retribution. This is not who we are.

“And an appeal to Minnesotans: I know this is scary. We can – we must – speak out loudly, urgently, but also peacefully. We cannot fan the flames of chaos. That’s what he wants.”

ICE fired back, “The buck stops with you, Governor. Tone down the hostile, inflammatory anti-ICE rhetoric. Honor our immigration detainers. And work with ICE to remove criminal illegal aliens from MN streets.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Walz had posted a 5-minute video address, raging against the federal immigration agents and spewing falsehood after falsehood.

He claimed that ICE agents are “going door to door, ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color live.”

“They’re pulling over people indiscriminately, including U.S. citizens, demanding to see their papers, at grocery stores, bus stops and schools…. they’re breaking windows, dragging pregnant women down the street, grabbing people and shoving them into unmarked vans, kidnapping people with no warning and no due process,” he wildly claimed.

DHS pounced on a clip from Walz’s video rant, in which he declared, “Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans.”

“We got you!” DHS fired back, adding, “Find the criminal illegal aliens that have committed atrocities against Minnesotans under the watch of @GovTimWalz and @MayorFrey. http://WOW.DHS.GOV.”

Last week, Walz declared Minnesota was “at war with the federal government.”
