FUMING NEWSOM: California Gov. goes on wild tirade over Texas redistricting, announces plan to ‘end Trump’s presidency’

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a far-left Democrat, has gone on a tirade over the last week, after Texas Republicans have moved forward with legislation to change the congressional maps in their state.

Newsom posted a video on X Monday and ranted, “Donald Trump: It’s time to call Greg Abbott and tell him to stand down. You are not “entitled” to 5 congressional seats.”

“If you do not call your lapdogs off, CA will act quickly and swiftly. We will go to the ballot. We will neutralize whatever gains you make. We will not stand by while you light Democracy on fire,” he threatened.

Newsom claimed he’s going to redraw the congressional districts in California and “end Trump’s presidency.”

He started blasting out threats on X, mimicking Trump’s all-caps style.

“DONALD TRUMP HAS 24 HOURS LEFT TO RESPOND TO GOVERNOR NEWSOM’S LETTER. IF HE DOES NOT STAND DOWN, THERE WILL BE A VERY IMPORTANT PRESS CONFERENCE THIS WEEK WITH A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER,” he wrote on Monday.

On Tuesday, Newsom wrote: “DONALD TRUMP, THE LOWEST POLLING PRESIDENT IN RECENT HISTORY, THIS IS YOUR SECOND-TO-LAST WARNING!!! (THE NEXT ONE IS THE LAST ONE!). STAND DOWN NOW OR CALIFORNIA WILL COUNTER-STRIKE (LEGALLY!) TO DESTROY YOUR ILLEGAL CROOKED MAPS IN RED STATES. PRESS CONFERENCE COMING — HOSTED BY AMERICA’S FAVORITE GOVERNOR, GAVIN NEWSOM. FINAL WARNING NEXT. YOU WON’T LIKE IT!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.”

The tantrum continues, as he added: “FINAL WARNING DONALD TRUMP — MAYBE THE MOST IMPORTANT WARNING IN HISTORY! STOP CHEATING OR CALIFORNIA WILL REDRAW THE MAPS. AND GUESS WHO WILL ANNOUNCE IT THIS WEEK? GAVIN NEWSOM (MANY SAY THE MOST LOVED & HANDSOME GOVERNOR) AND A VERY POWERFUL TEAM. DON’T MAKE US DO IT!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.”

In case Trump isn’t shaking in his boots yet, Newsom raged: “DONALD “TACO” TRUMP, AS MANY CALL HIM, “MISSED” THE DEADLINE!!! Newsom added:

“Donald Trump and Greg Abbott are going to have a very bad day today,” Newsom sneered Thursday.

Thursday afternoon, Newsom finally held his press conference, which featured multiple speakers, including Democrat Sen. Adam Schiff.

“We are here because Donald Trump, on January 6, tried to light Democracy on fire, tried to wreck this country, tried to steal an election…” Newsom wildly claimed.

From ABC News: California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Thursday that he is moving forward with putting proposed new congressional maps for the state on the ballot on a Nov. 4 special election in an attempt to counter mid-decade redistricting being pushed by Republicans in Texas.

“I know they say ‘Don’t mess with Texas.’ Well, don’t mess with the great Golden State,” Newsom said at a news conference, flanked by Democratic members of Congress and California union leaders.

“We’re doing this in reaction to a president of the United that called a sitting governor of the state of Texas and said, ‘Find me five seats,'” he added later.

He said the state government will affirm its commitment to the state’s independent redistricting commission after the 2030 census, “but we’re asking the voters for their consent to do midterm redistricting in 2026, 2028 and 2030 for the congressional maps to respond to what’s happening in Texas … and we’ll do so in a way that also affirms our desire as a state to level the playing field all across the United States.”

Now Newsom has released an ad video and wrote, “Trump’s election rigging comes to an end now. California won’t stand by and watch Trump burn it all down — we are calling a special election to redraw our Congressional maps and defend fair representation. This is a five alarm fire for Democracy. Vote YES November 4.”
