Fox News affiliate producer makes stunning statement about immigration enforcement in California

A Fox News producer in San Francisco is all bent out of shape over the ICE raids that took place in her city on Thursday, and has condemned her own colleague for riding along with Border Patrol agents during the operation.

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin announced Thursday, “We just rode along w/ Border Patrol as they conducted immigration enforcement in Sacramento, the capitol of the sanctuary state of California. Upon arrival at a Home Depot, suspected illegal aliens took off running in all directions. 10+ arrested.”

Melugin even clarified that several of those caught had criminal records.  He wrote, “BP tells us records checks on one already came back showing he’s an aggravated felon with a prior conviction for fentanyl trafficking. One man, who claimed to be a U.S. citizen, was arrested and maced by federal agents after he allegedly slashed the tire of a federal vehicle and appeared to assault an agent was he was taken to the ground. We were with one team of federal agents, as there are others conducting enforcement in other areas of the city.”

That prompted a sneering response from Jodi Bacon, a Fox 40-KTXL Morning Segment & Planning Producer in San Francisco.

“SOOOO grimy…of COURSE Border Patrol had a FOX reporter ride along with them. To be targeted for NO reason is awful. This country deserves better,” Bacon wrote.

Melugin, clearly stunned over being attacked by a producer within his own network, fired back, “You’re a producer for @FOX40? You are in charge of coverage of this event for your Sacramento TV station and you thought it would be appropriate to post this?”

Bacon appears to have doubled down on her condemnation of the ICE raids, as she re-posted a report by the Sacramento Bee titled, “Sacramento region has seen increased ICE raids: What rights do people have?”

Bacon is being blasted by conservatives on X, with many questioning whether she will lose her job over the post.

Several people are calling for Fox to fire Bacon, while others suggest she should be working for CNN or CBS instead.
