In reaction to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, multiple former U.S. presidents and vice presidents have released statements – from both sides of the political aisle.
Former Vice President Mike Pence wrote, “Karen and I are shocked and saddened to learn of Charlie Kirk’s passing. We are praying for his wife Erika, his entire family and all who loved and admired this truly good man. God Bless Charlie Kirk.🙏🏻.”

Former President Barack Obama claimed the shooter’s motive is still unknown.
He wrote: “We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”
