City-owned vehicles are being parked in the vaults right now, but a $127 billion city budget proposal pitched by the council Wednesday could change that to raise funds “as an alternative to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s ‘tax the rich’ spending plan,” the Post notes.

Manhattan could earn $17 million annually by leasing the space. The council predicts the bridge’s rented rooms will generate millions by 2027.
