From Fox News: Fox News Digital exclusively spoke with the antisemitism research institute that released an 11th hour comprehensive report that summarized its concerns about New York City socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. With just hours to go before Election Day, the report underscores the heightened scrutiny facing the socialist nominee.
“It is incumbent on voters to understand the ideological context that Zohran Mamdani comes from and espouses,” said Charles Asher Small, founding director of The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), told Fox News Digital.
His organization’s report, titled, “Zohran Mamdani: From SJP to Gracie Mansion?,” dives into Mamdani’s background and rise to prominence. It explains the controversial views of his father, a professor at Columbia University, on Israel, as well as how Zohran founded the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at Bowdoin College, his past statements and positions, and lists the anti-Israel individuals who endorse him for mayor.
The report concludes with a section that explores the implications of Mamdani’s agenda.
The ISGAP 36-page document begins by highlighting several alarming points about Mamdani’s rise to power, which should be huge red flags for any American:
Starting from his college days, Mamdani has built a record that shows how he
legitimizes or whitewashes violence in the name of “liberation”:
- He co-founded a chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), a group
notorious for campus intimidation of Jewish students and support for BDS. - In 2017, as a rapper, Mamdani praised the Holy Land Foundation Five, who were
convicted for funneling $12 million to Hamas, calling them heroes in his lyrics. - He has repeatedly declined to condemn the slogan “Globalize the Intifada,”
ignoring the fact that the word Intifada is synonymous with terror attacks,
suicide bombings, and incitement to kill Jews. As the election has drawn closer,
he has attempted to distance himself from the slogan by describing it as merely
an expression of support for Palestine. - In 2023, Mamdani downplayed Hamas’s October 7 massacre, characterized
Israel’s self-defense as “genocide,” and introduced a bill to punish New York
charities that support Israel. - In October 2025, Mamdani publicly endorsed and whitewashed radical Imam
Siraj Wahhaj, who was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 WTC
bombing and who has previously suggested the United States is run by the devil
and that gay people should be killed.
Mamdani’s political machine is powered by domestic and foreign anti-Zionist
networks that amplify and normalize this rhetoric:
- Domestically, Mamdani’s biggest institutional supporter is the Democratic
Socialists of America (DSA), which has mobilized an army of volunteers for him.
The DSA demands that the politicians it endorses pledge support for BDS, and it
continues to openly glorify “Palestinian resistance” even after the October 7
massacre. - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has gone beyond rhetorical
praise. Through the Unity and Justice Super PAC, it has donated $100,000 to
Mamdani’s campaign—one of its largest-ever contributions to a single
candidate—despite being named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy
Land Foundation terror-financing trial. - In 2024, Mamdani’s campaign raised over $122,000 from nearly 2,500 donors,
with about 33% of that money coming from out-of-state sources—a sign of how
his appeal as an anti-Zionist figure extends well beyond New York. - In 2025 (as of October 12, 2025), Mamdani’s campaign has received $3,999,675 in private funds and $12,787,729 in public funds (in total $16,787,404), while
spending over $10 million on campaign-related activities with companies like
Debra Schommer Media Group and AEG Presents.
Internationally, Mamdani’s brand is celebrated by a foreign echo chamber of antiIsrael and pro-Hamas voices:
- Qatar’s Al Jazeera, whose journalists have been linked to Hamas, has praised
Mamdani as an icon of “decolonial politics” for refusing to denounce “Globalize
the Intifada.” - Press TV, Iran’s propaganda outlet, amplifies his calls to arrest Israeli leaders,
aligning him with the Iranian regime’s goal to dismantle the “Zionist regime. - High-profile anti-Israel figures like Jeremy Corbyn MP and Mehdi Hasan have
publicly celebrated his rise, framing it as a rebuke of Zionism and an inspiration
for the global anti-Israel movement. - Even Qatari royal Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, a powerful cultural
influencer, has promoted Mamdani on her Instagram to millions of followers—
the same royal family that openly funds Hamas and glorifies attacks on Israeli
civilians.
Together, these facts show that Mamdani’s populist socialist brand is inseparable
from radical anti-Zionism. When normalized, this ideology inevitably threatens the
safety and welfare of New York’s Jewish community. Thus, the main danger for
New York’s Jewish community is that Mamdani’s potential victory would create
fertile ground for antisemitism to grow under the guise of “progressive politics,”
especially as he has stated that he would revoke the city’s adoption of the IHRA
Working Definition of Antisemitism—just after he wished New York’s Jews a “Shana
Tova” for the September 2025 High Holidays.

FLASHBACK: Mamdani has brazenly declared that he supports the abolition of private property.
Mamdani is the ultimate triple threat: a Communist, a Cultural Marxist, and an Islamist—all rolled into one!

Much like the nation HAD to feel the pain of a 4 year Biden presidency to actually understand what the far left offers, I’m afraid NYC must do the same, and it WILL be painful. Let em suffer. It may be the ONLY way to fix the problem. https://t.co/FwHwXJGjKK
