FIERCE REBUKE: Conservatives blast White House for giving access to liberal mag

From Fox News: The White House is taking heat from conservatives after Vanity Fair published its bombshell profile of White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, which has dominated the news cycle.

Vanity Fair writer Chris Whipple penned a two-part story Tuesday based on a whopping 11 interviews over the past year with Wiles, one of President Donald Trump’s top aides who made extraordinary comments about her boss and members of his administration.

Wiles bashed the profile, calling it a “disingenuously framed hit piece.”

After Vanity Fair’s negative articles were released Tuesday morning, nearly every member of Trump’s Cabinet released statements voicing their support for Wiles, in what appears to be a concerted effort to slap down the scandal.

However, many conservatives are demanding to know why in the world Wiles would have given even one interview to the liberal reporter, much less 11.

“WTAH Would you even give time to Vanity Fair -⁉️” one prominent X user asked.

Jaimee Michell also asked, “Why even talk to Vanity Fair in the first place? This is expected from them…”

Former congressional candidate Josh Barnett of Arizona wrote, “Why even interview with these corrupt people? Interview with conservative media only…”

Attorney Jenna Ellis scolded, “You’re not a novice. You had to know what you were doing sitting down with Vanity Fair for ELEVEN interviews. Also, all your comments track and are on record, so what exactly is the context they disregarded?”

Investigative journalist Lara Logan wrote:

It is too late in the game for this to be a defense. Anyone close to the President should know that Vanity Fair leads the way in the information war for Trump’s most powerful & despicable enemies. Their job is to set the false narrative for others to folo.

There is no walking this back because all his enemies in the media & outside will run with it relentlessly regardless of the truth. Vanity Fair has political operatives – not journalists. If you do not know this, you are not qualified to be in a junior role let alone a senior one.

Another possibility is that this was done on purpose to set the false narrative & then act as if they’re trying to walk it back – that is also a tactic. Remember when Hillary did her “basket of deplorables” speech in the 2016 election campaign? They quickly walked it back and spent the next ten years attacking/labeling every Republican as a deplorable. So Hillary set the false narrative & then distanced herself personally to avoid responsibility while the rest of the puppets & operatives ran w the false narrative & in many minds it has stuck in spite of the fact that it is false.

Opinion editor Joel Pollak wrote, “I don’t know why Republicans continue to give privileged access to mainstream media or center-left publications determined to destroy them. Journalists are not your friends, especially from Democrat agenda-driven outlets like the @nytimes and @VanityFair.”

Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist wrote, “Genuinely sick to death of people on the right who seek the approval of left-wing media. Or even play with them for a minute. I can’t take it. It’s the saddest fetish.”

Mark Hemingway of Real Clear Investigations quipped, “Some day we will have a Republican Party that understands it’s never in their interest to talk to outlets such as Vanity Fair. Today is not that day.”
