Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes both supported the Kansas City Chiefs during their 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, but they appeared in separate suites at Arrowhead Stadium.

This separation comes amid controversy over Mahomes’ recent support for former President Trump. Last season, Swift and Mahomes were often seen together in suites, especially after Swift began attending games due to her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The friendship between Brittany Mahomes, wife of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Taylor Swift, girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was previously highlighted at public events and symbolized the team’s growing appeal among female fans. However, the 2024 season started differently, with Mahomes facing controversy for supporting Trump on Instagram.

Swift was seen in a suite with Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, while Mahomes was in a separate suite with her daughter, Sterling Skye, as shown on her Instagram Stories.

Mahomes, a 29-year-old pregnant mother, showed her support for Trump on August 13 by liking his Instagram post about the “2024 GOP platform.” This action sparked significant backlash, including from Swift’s fans, who shared screenshots of the like on social media. Mahomes addressed the criticism on her Instagram Stories on August 23.

“I mean honestly, To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” she wrote. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”

Days later, Mahomes posted on Instagram: “Contrary to the tone of the world today…you can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have differing views and still be kind. Read that again!” On August 26, she also liked comments supporting Trump and defending her right to her opinions.
