Attorney General Pam Bondi has been cleaning house at the Department of Justice, and some very disturbing details are surfacing about multiple prosecutors who have been fired.

Last month, President Donald Trump reportedly fired U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Erik Siebert, after he failed to file charges against New York Attorney General Letitia James, despite evidence presented alleging she had committed mortgage fraud.

Trump replaced Siebert with Lindsey Halligan, his personal defense lawyer. A few days after taking office, Halligan brought charges against former FBI director James Comey, who was then indicted by a federal grand jury.

Michael Ben’Ary, another top prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Virginia, was just fired last week, and is lashing out at Halligan.

Now, leaked text messages exposed by the investigative group Project Veritas reveal that Ben’Ary wished death on Halligan and President Trump.

Also involved in the scandal is Assistant US Attorney Russell Carlberg, who issued vile threats against a believed FBI whistleblower, and also voiced his hope for Trump to meet the same fate as Charlie Kirk.

Project Veritas announced Tuesday morning:

“I would like to strangle that b*itch myself. Every night I dream that this nightmare will end … or that she or @RealDonaldTrump would simply die.”

In a leaked text from October 6th, a number linked to Ben’Ary, who was terminated last week, urges fellow @EDVAnews prosecutor Russell Carlberg – previously exposed by Veritas for threatening whistleblowers – to “keep monitoring” cases to prevent interference from President Trump’s new appointee, Lindsay Halligan, who oversees the Comey case.

Project Veritas added:

Ben’Ary and legacy media have portrayed his firing as politically driven. He taped this letter outside his former office last Friday. 

Project Veritas previously exposed scandals in the Eastern District of Virginia, including:

– Former AG Bill Barr using @EDVAnews allies to target a whistleblower who reported him and @ARightSide [Armstrong Williams] to the FBI for an illegal visa scheme.

– A number linked to U.S. prosecutor Russell Carlberg sent death threats to the whistleblower as recently as 2 weeks ago stating: “I can do whatever the hell I want with you… may you and Trump share the same fate as [Charlie] Kirk.”

– Former EDVA Attorney Jessica Aber, who warned the whistleblower of internal corruption, died unexpectedly in her sleep weeks later

The scandal also involves threats made against Patricia de Oliveira Souza Lélis Bolin [Patricia Lelis], a Brazilian national charged in January 2024 with defrauding immigrant investors. Lelis has reportedly also acted as a whistleblower for the FBI, although some claim she is not credible and is a real fraudster.  Russell Calberg has threatened Lelis.

On September 19, Project Veritas announced:

ABC News reports @RealDonaldTrump will fire US Attorney for the Eastern District of VA (@EDVAnews) Eric Siebert for failing to bring charges against Leticia James for mortgage fraud.

A DOJ insider tells Veritas there’s more to the story: Siebert, overseeing the Patricia Lelis case, misled Trump about his knowledge – evidence from Veritas confirms this.

DOJ officials were trying to hide information from President Trump:

The next day, Project Veritas provided copies of text messages, in which a DOJ official reportedly wrote, “Trump has realized that something suspicious is going on in Virginia.”

An undercover Project Veritas agent asked, “Wow – this is actually breaking news. So Trump is aware of Patricia’s case then?”

The person responded, “A little bit. It got to him, but they didn’t let any information reach him. I know he talked to Siebert, and Siebert said he didn’t know anything.”

The screenshots also include another text exchange, in which Assistant US Attorney and Deputy Chief Russell Carlberg threatens Lelis. The menacing memo says, “I know exactly where you are. I know everything you’ve been doing. Up until now, I’ve followed orders: keep you quiet, leave you breathing. But the second you tried to drag me into a federal investigation, you crossed a line.”

The threatening memo continues, “I’m giving you one chance – one – to tell me the truth: are you in direct contact with someone at the DOJ? If you tell me now, honestly, I’ll let you disappear. Live your sad little life wherever you’ve crawled off to. But if you lie to me – if you keep pushing – then know this: I have the power to accuse you of anything…. I can bury you without lifting a finger. No one is going to believe you. No one is going to listen.”

In another message from U.S. Attorney Russell Carlberg to Lelis, he writes, “I can do whatever the hell I want with you. Or do you really think your pathetic little team of Trump worshipping lunatics is gonna change anything by swapping out U.S. Attorneys until you find some spineless puppet who’ll do your dirty work? May you and Trump share the same fate as Kirk.”

“And mark my words: if you haven’t been afraid of me until now, you will be. Let’s see if Trump can save your ass from this one.”

Prominent X user @Amuse wrote: “LAWFARE: The DOJ is a vipers den of Democrat lawyers battling the president and his agenda. The latest examples are Assistant US Attorney Russell Carlberg and former DOJ prosecutor Michael Ben’Ary who reportedly discussed spying on the Trump administration and even discussed the dream of seeing Trump and USA Lindsay Halligan die.”

Attorney Mike Davis warned, “The U.S. attorneys’ offices in DC and EDVA are full of partisan Democrat operatives who are actively conspiring to obstruct justice and subvert the will of American voters.”
