In a moving social media post on Monday, Evangelical leader Franklin Graham called for Americans to set aside their differences and join together at noon on Wednesday to pray for the nation.
Graham’s statement came as a wave of violent demonstrations by the radical left are taking place in multiple cities across the country, as they are protesting against the Trump administration’s efforts to apprehend criminal illegal aliens who are embedded into communities nationwide.
A strong supporter of President Donald Trump, Graham occasionally posts about political issues and expresses positions that align with conservatives.
Graham’s announcement reads as follows:
If you think our nation is in trouble now, just wait… As our streets boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness, is there something we can do? You bet there is.
I would like to call for a time of prayer and repentance this Wednesday, January 14, at 12:00 noon.
As a nation, our sins are so great. We have increasingly turned our backs on God and His commands, embracing godless secularism. We need to ask His forgiveness and seek His face.
Pray for our leaders, and pray that God would bring calm to our streets.
There are many who would like to stir things up—there are even those who would like to destroy this great country. Pray that these efforts would be thwarted and their plans would be brought into confusion.
Ask God to use His Church to be His instruments of peace in this time of great uncertainty.
Remember, this Wednesday at noon, please stop and pray. Millions of people remembering our sins and asking for forgiveness, repenting, and seeking His face will make a difference.
Let’s humble ourselves. Let’s give God the glory for this great nation and thank Him for His hand of blessing, protection, and mercy.
On Saturday, Graham addressed the horrific threats made against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. He wrote:
Have you seen the reports of protesters—or paid agitators—chanting unbelievable things like, “Save a life, kill ICE!” or “Kristi Noem will hang”? The protests we see across the country right now are underpinned by the radical socialist left, whose goal is to make the United States like Venezuela, ultimately destroying the America we know. Lying, stealing, cheating—nothing is out of bounds in order to grab power. Unfortunately, many people joining these protests have no clue that they are just being used as pawns.
The only hope for America is God. I encourage you to pray. Pray for President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and all the Cabinet and leadership of our nation.

In another post on Tuesday, Graham repeated the call for prayer, writing, “I invite you to join me at noon tomorrow, Wednesday, January 14, to stop and pray for our nation. Prayer is powerful. Millions of people remembering our sins, repenting, and seeking God will make a difference.”
