From Daily Mail: Bill Gates angrily denied claims that he caught a sexually transmitted disease from ‘Russian girls’, obtained antibiotics from Jeffrey Epstein to treat the infection, and secretly slipped them to Melinda Gates.
In a rare statement that clearly conveys the depths of his anger over the latest Epstein files release, a spokesperson for the Microsoft billionaire told the Daily Mail: ‘These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false.
‘The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame.’
Epstein made the astonishing claims about the Microsoft billionaire in emails he sent to himself on July 18, 2013.
The Department of Justice released hundreds of thousands of Epstein files, including emails and images of Epstein and Gates together.
Gates has denied any impropriety and downplayed his relationship with Epstein, claiming they only met in group settings.
The allegations against Gates were found in a draft resignation letter Epstein appeared to be writing for Gates’ former advisor Boris Nikolic.
The Department of Justice has primarily cited the privacy of persons named in the so-called Epstein files as the reason it did not want to release them to the public. Releasing names and information found in Epstein’s record could harm or defame them, adding to his victims. But after the Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed. The department began preparations to release use documents.
The act, a bipartisan law passed by Congress and signed by President Trump in November 2025, mandated that the DOJ release all investigative files related to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking case by December 19, 2025, with limited exceptions for classified materials or ongoing investigations. The legislation explicitly prohibited withholding or redacting records due to potential embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity to any figures involved.
The DOJ took its time complying with the mandate, citing the need for extensive review and redactions to protect his victims. Officials have emphasized that hundreds of lawyers and staff are involved in combing through the massive volume of materials—estimated at over 6 million pages in some reports—to identify and black out sensitive information, such as victims’ identities.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has publicly stated that the process prioritizes victim protection and that the White House had no oversight or influence over it.
Lawmakers, victims’ advocates, and transparency groups have accused the DOJ of deliberately slow-walking the process, potentially to shield politically connected individuals or avoid public scrutiny.
