ENOUGH ALREADY! TPUSA executives speak out amid onslaught of conspiracies surrounding Charlie Kirk’s assassination

The Turning Point USA organization is calling for all the conspiracy theories and wild speculations about the September 10 assassination of their founder Charlie Kirk to stop.

TPUSA Chief Operation Officer Tyler Bowyer posted an announcement on social media Thursday evening, saying they have questions as well, but would like for everyone to calm down, stop slinging allegations, and let the investigators do their job.

Bowyer’s full announcement reads:

I am sorry I have to tweet this… but I do.

Accusing innocent people—much worse, accusing the people who knew Charlie best, loved him more than just abut anyone, and witnessed his death—isn’t just wrong, it’s baseless mudslinging on the same level as calling someone a Nazi or fascist who is not. It signals to crazy people many evil ideas, thoughts and feelings. It is calling the good, bad, and the innocent, criminal.

The worst part of this wicked behavior is that it is putting a target on the backs of the people working to carry out Charlie’s work from before and after his murder. This harassment may emotionally or physically sideline them, stopping the work.

Every single person who loves Charlie and knew him best will not settle for anything less than the truth throughout the process of grief, investigation, trial and continuing on without the person we loved and who we know the world loved.

I personally feel Charlie with us every day and it has given our people strength to persevere in the darkest hours of our lives.

I hope people will seek truth, apologize for getting things wrong along the way, support righteous causes and strive to not engage with destructive forces that I believe the devil wants people to promote to undo the good work that emanates from Turning Point, Charlie and everything he has left behind.

Bowyer also took time to respond to several comments after his initial post.

Some people are responding with kindness and understanding, while others are wildly accusing Bowyer and other TPUSA officials of being “part of the cover-up.”

Priya Patel wrote, “Well said, Tyler. Baseless pointing of fingers is going to only cause harm to innocent people that are grieving. It’s shameful. We all want the truth. The real truth. Not conspiracy theories. Praying for you all.”

Bowyer replied, “We all are wanting answers, for everything.”

X user Jill_arizona wrote, “I’m sorry you’re in this position. But is the internal audit of @TPUSA that @RealCandaceO [Candace Owens] reported still going forward? It’s bad enough tax exempt organizations don’t have to disclose donors. So you can’t be upset many of us are asking questions before you all move forward.”

Bowyer replied, “She took a sentence and made something up. TPUSA does an audit every year… always has. Charlie constantly looked for ways to make everything we do more efficient, that’s [why] TPUSA operates 8 times more effectively than any other similar operation.”

One X user retorted, “Well then start questioning the inconsistencies in the narrative and demand the truth. We know we’re being lied to!”

Bowyer wrote, “Some of those are made up. A lot of them. You think those of us grieving are slaves to responding to every random made up comment? Or that we aren’t waiting for our own questions to be asked and answered around the investigation and trial? Disgusting behavior.”

Another person pushed out a wild claim that all witnesses were government employees.

“You can’t be serious, right,” Bowyer responded.

X user Crista Marie claimed, “Why wouldn’t you be using your enormous platform to help find justice instead of going along so easily with this absurd government narrative? The silence from your organization is so deafening.”

Getting even more fed up, Bowyer wrote, “Idk they’re investigating a murder and trying a case against those involved and you think it’s perfectly okay to harass people who are closer to Charlie than anyone to demand some kind of proof or answers they can’t possibly facilitate. Or in the midst of grief be slaves to every theory or question on planet earth. Find Jesus and some humanity.”

Crista Marie wouldn’t give up, writing, “So I’m hearing you think you’re organization is some sort of victim because people are wanting to see justice more than you guys are displaying? All I’ve seen is marketing push after push since he’s been gone. It’s “tone deaf”.”

Bowyer fired back, “You are tone deaf. We have an organization to run where we employ people with children, mortgages and livelihoods. These people carry the work that we have produced to quite literally bring conservative principles to the world. Your suggestion is to become law enforcement instead of doing our jobs? Or spend all day making up theories instead of helping people with the work Charlie cared so deeply about? Add that to the fact these people are all scared and grieving. What a disturbing take. Highly irrational/illogical behavior for such a normal looking person.”

Another person demanded he get all the security footage.

Bowyer wrote, “Guys… there is camera footage all over that campus that the police have. Plus all the cameras we had. They likely won’t release it until the trial.”

“PH” sneered, “You guys all appear to be in on whatever happened and we’re not letting it go.”

Bowyer retorted, “I think I’m going to start exposing every person who claims that Charlie’s loved ones are in on it and I just might start with you.”

Another conspiracy theorist claimed the cameras were tampered with after the shooting.

Bowyer replied, “dude didn’t tamper with anything. The law enforcement officers asked them to turn them over immediately so they didn’t get lost in commotion before they took everyone into lock down.”

“My message is directly pointed at people like you who are promoting completely made up theories and therefore putting targets on these guys. Knock it off.”

Pushing back again, Bowyer wrote, “So when exactly do you think the law enforcement agencies wanted to review the video to catch the criminal involved? An hour later? 6 hours later? A day later? Why exactly, in your brain, do you believe that law enforcement wouldn’t immediately want all camera angles to review?”

Still referring to the camera footage, Bowyer wrote, “Active shooter situation leads to lock down. The police asked for it. These are all really basic things.”

Daily Wire journalist Megan Basham wrote, “I will never, ever get over seeing people who were supposedly Charlie’s friends turning his death into cheap content, and cruelly harassing his loved ones while doing it. I just cannot fathom something so awful.”

Bowyer replied, “It’s probably been the hardest part of all of this. Living through harassment from dozens of people every day since his death.”

“Not really bothered by people but it’s just kinda breaking me to realize how terrible society is. Really hard to comprehend,” Bowyer sadly added.

Andrew Kolvet, Turning Point USA spokesman and executive producer of the Charlie Kirk Show, commented on Bowyer’s initial post, writing, “All of this. Well said.”

One conspiracy theorist rudely attacked Kolvet, claiming, “You are part of the cover-up.”

Bowyer replied, “Calling good people evil with absolutely no reason or proof is in and of itself evil. Call out what is true. Projecting something false on to grieving people is horrible stuff.”
