Here is a collection of stories happening across the country, displaying the state of the economy, the heartbeat of American culture, and the craziness of modern-day politics…
1) More than a dozen charged over Jan. 6 since last month, DOJ announces
From Washington Examiner: U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves revealed Tuesday that his office has brought charges against 16 people in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot since last month.
The announcement from Washington, D.C.‘s, top federal prosecutor came as part of the monthly updates his office has been providing related to the Capitol breach and signals that Graves has not relented on seeking out alleged culprits more than 3 1/2 years after the incident.
The U.S. attorney’s office said 1,488 people faced charges, most of whom were accused of entering or remaining on restricted federal property. A large fraction of those charged were accused of assaulting a police officer or resisting law enforcement. A smaller portion faced charges of damaging or stealing federal property, having a deadly weapon with them, or, in rare instances, seditious conspiracy.
Nearly a thousand defendants have been convicted or pleaded guilty to charges and have received sentences, and more than half of them, 562, were sentenced to prison, according to Graves’s office.
2) Cori Bush suffers brutal defeat in re-election bid
From True News: Another member of the radical Democrat ‘Squad’ is on the way out the door from the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri lost her re-election bid in the state’s primary election Tuesday evening in a major defeat, to Wesley Bell, a St. Louis County Democrat prosecutor. With 94% of the vote in, Bell had won the race with 51%, compared to 45.7% for Bush.
Bush, 48, a former nurse and a Black Lives Matter activist, has served in Congress since January 2021. Immediately after winning in the 2020 election, she joined ranks with the far-left progressive “Squad” congressional group, and has been the center of multiple controversies throughout her tenure.
Bush has brazenly called to abolish police, abolish prisons, and abolish ICE, as well as being a vocal supporter of abortion, gun control, and pro-Hamas protesters.
A “BLACK JOB” IS SOMETHING CORI BUSH DOES NOT HAVE 😂
OH HAPPY DAY! OH HAPPY DAY 😂
She is the Second Squad member to lose her seat! I can’t wait until they are all gone
They are all full of hate stupidity.

3) Pro-Palestinian ‘Uncommitted’ Movement Celebrates Walz as VP Pick, Urges Israel Arms Embargo
From Breitbart: The radical pro-Palestinian “uncommitted” movement — which urged Democratic voters to protest President Joe Biden’s support for Israel by casting non-Biden votes in state primaries — is celebrating Kamala Harris’s vice presidential candidate pick Tim Walz, as its leaders call for a complete arms embargo on the Jewish state.
In a post following Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris’s announcement of her selection of Walz on Tuesday, the Uncommitted National Movement’s X social media account cited senior adviser Elianne Farhat in suggesting that Walz “has demonstrated a remarkable ability to evolve as a public leader, uniting Democrats diverse coalition to achieve significant milestones for Minnesota families of all backgrounds.”

“As Harris’ vice presidential pick, it’s crucial he continues this evolution by supporting an arms embargo on Israel’s war and occupation against Palestinians in an effort to unite our party to defeat authoritarianism in the fall.” –@ElianneMJF, senior advisor Uncommitted

4) Tim Walz’s Wife Said She Wanted To Smell Fires Of 2020 BLM Riots Because It Was A ‘Touchstone’ Moment
From Daily Caller: Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s wife, Gwen, said she left her windows open to “smell the burning tires” during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots because she felt it was a “touchstone” moment.
An interview clip with Gwen Walz discussing the 2020 riots and her reaction to them resurfaced online Tuesday after Vice President Kamala Harris announced she would be choosing the Minnesota governor as her running mate for the 2024 election. In the interview, which was aired on KSTP-TV’s “5 Eyewitness News Nightcast” channel, Gwen could be heard talking about the riots and her choice to leave the “windows open as long” as the city was burned by looters and rioters.
“I could smell the burning tires. That was a very real thing, and I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening,” Gwen Walz said.

5) Kamala Harris’ campaign website has no economic plans
From Fox Business: Vice President Harris on Tuesday selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate after officially securing the Democratic Party nomination on Monday – but her campaign website lacks information about her economic plans for the country and other aspects of her platform.
As of Tuesday evening, visitors to the official campaign website, kamalaharris.com, are greeted with a landing page soliciting donations to support the Harris-Walz campaign in their bid to defeat former President Trump. The website’s main page features another donation tool to Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue, as well as a sign-up form for visitors to provide their contact information to the campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
The site also includes biographical information about Harris and Walz discussing their histories, as well as a merchandise shop where patrons can purchase yard signs, hats and more to fill the campaign’s coffers – but it doesn’t detail her campaign platform and policy plans for the economy and other issues that typically appear on candidates’ websites.

6) JD Vance Powerhouse Answer
From Greg Price via X/Twitter: JD Vance comes out swinging against a reporter who told him that his remarks on families were “offensive to millions of women.”
“What I said is very simple: I think American families are good and government policy should be more pro-family. If the media wants to get offended about a sarcastic remark I made before I even ran for the Senate, then the media is entitled to get offended. You know what I’m offended by? That normal Americans can’t afford groceries, that Kamala Harris opened up the American southern border, and I’m offended that she wants to be the people’s president but cannot answer tough questions.”

7) ‘Dolton Dictator’ Mayor Tiffany Henyard faces blow to power after village freezes credit cards: ‘Swiping like crazy’
From New York Post: Embattled “Dolton Dictator” Mayor Tiffany Henyard and other officials lost their power to swipe freely on the Illinois village’s credit cards when the board voted Monday to freeze the municipal plastic after a spending frenzy.
Dolton’s director of administrative services will only be allowed to use the village credit card after the board approves of the purchases, trustees said, according to reports — in a blow to Henyard’s control.
“This village has so many people with so many credit cards, they’re swiping like crazy and that’s why it had to come to a complete halt,” said lawyer Michael McGrath, who is representing Dolton’s trustees, according to WGNTV.
“There’s thousands and thousands of dollars for Amazon purchases, for PayPal, for Target, for Walgreens, for Jewel-[Osco] in the hundreds and thousands of dollars,” he added. The latter is a regional supermarket chain.

9) US to increase force projection from Australia in face of ‘coercive’ China
From Reuters: Australia will begin co-manufacturing guided weapons with the US next year to boost supply for allies in the Indo Pacific and increase a US military presence in the country, including bomber aircraft, the two nations said after annual defence talks. Australia and the United States are already working to upgrade air bases in northern and western Australia, which are closer to potential flashpoints with China in the South China Sea than Australia’s capital of Canberra. After annual AUSMIN talks in Annapolis, Maryland, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said there would be an increase in the presence of rotational U.S. forces in Australia.

10) Boxer Who Failed Gender Tests Advances To Gold Medal Match After Dominating Another Female Opponent
From Daily Wire: A boxer who has failed past gender eligibility tests has taken down another female opponent at the Paris Olympics, and has easily advanced to the gold-medal match, which is scheduled for Friday.
Imane Khelif of Algeria dominated female boxer Janjaem Suwannapheng of Thailand 5:0 in the semifinals on Tuesday. Suwannapheng was pounded with punches in the third round and took a standing eight-count.
Thus far in the Paris Olympics, Khelif has won every single round on every judge’s card.
Khelif and Lin Yu‑ting of Taiwan both failed gender tests in 2019 and 2023, per the International Boxing Association (IBA).
