During a White House press briefing, Fox News’ Peter Doocy questioned Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about the protocol for contacting President Biden in the event of a national security threat, such as an incoming nuclear missile.

Given the President’s recent statement that his best hours are before 8 p.m., Doocy’s question aimed to address concerns about the President’s availability and responsiveness during potential late-night emergencies.

Jean-Pierre responded by emphasizing that President Biden is always informed about pertinent news, including national security matters, regardless of the time of day. She assured that the President has a dedicated team of advisors and security officials who are responsible for keeping him updated on critical issues. Jean-Pierre highlighted that this team operates around the clock to ensure the President is alerted immediately in case of any national security threats. She further explained that the President’s schedule and rest periods do not hinder his ability to perform his duties effectively.

“The President is fully capable and prepared to respond to any emergency at any time,” Jean-Pierre stated. She reinforced that there are established protocols and systems in place to guarantee that the President receives all necessary information promptly, no matter the hour.
