Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed campaign spent over $1 billion in three months, drawing criticism for high-profile expenditures on celebrity influencers, activist groups, and private jets.

FEC filings show two $500,000 payments to Oprah Winfrey’s production company, reported by the Washington Examiner, shortly after Winfrey appeared with Harris at events. Conservatives on social media accused Harris of buying Winfrey’s endorsement, which ultimately did not lead to a win.

Jordan Belfort told Fox News he was “shocked” by the campaign payment, comparing it to “money laundering.” Oprah denied receiving personal payment, telling TMZ she was “paid nothing.” A Harpo spokesperson confirmed the campaign paid Harpo Productions for “production costs” but stated that Oprah herself did not receive any fee.

The Harris campaign spent nearly $4 million on Village Marketing Agency to secure social media influencers. It featured a lineup of celebrities like Beyoncé, Bon Jovi, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, and Bruce Springsteen.

According to the Washington Examiner, over $12 million went to digital media consultants, including six figures on a set for her Call Her Daddy podcast appearance. FEC records also show at least $15 million spent on event production, coinciding with the high-profile celebrity events and concerts.
