Here they go again…. Democrats are flooding social media with calls for more gun control after a biological male identifying as female shot up a church in Minneapolis Wednesday morning during an all-school mass.
Messages scrawled on the weapons the shooter displayed in now-scrubbed video footage read: “Where is your God?”, “Fuck Optics,” and “Kill Trump Now!”
The 23-year-old gunman, identified as “Robin” Westman – formerly Robert Westman – stood outside the church and shot through the glass windows into the church, which was filled with hundreds of students of the Catholic school. Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed, and another 14 children and 3 adults were injured. Westman then shot and killed himself in the church parking lot.
The horrific shooting has very eery similarities to a shooting at a Christian school in Nashville on March 27, 2023, in which a transgender person killed three children and three adults.
However, Democrats are not making a single mention that Westman was a male identifying as female. Instead, they are condemning “gun violence” and calling for gun law reforms.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, a Democrat, spoke to the press and slammed those who are “using” the shooting to attack the transgender community… while ignoring that his own party is using the horrific massacre to push gun control.
“Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to villainize our trans community has lost their sense of common humanity,” Frey claimed.

While speaking at an earlier press conference, Frey raged, “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now, these kids were literally praying.”

This anti-Christian rhetoric is just appalling and disgusting. Next, they’re going to try to make this tragedy about “gun violence” instead of the real issue: Transgender Rage. pic.twitter.com/lqTXeXW7oC

Frey doubled down, writing in a post on X, “All of our kids should be able to go to school or church or anywhere without the fear of gun violence. Don’t just say we need thoughts and prayers. These kids were literally in a church praying. Don’t just think of them just as someone else’s kids. Think of them as your own.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer wrote in a post on X, “I’m horrified by the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis and closely monitoring the situation. I’m thankful for the first responders on the scene. Students and teachers should not be putting their lives on the line just by going back to school. We must do more to stop gun violence in America.”

Schumer is being pounded. One X user wrote, “You mean “stop TRANS violence”? Right?”
Another person added, “You clowns have never met a tragedy you didn’t try to capitalize on. The reality is your party created this with the gender affirming care garbage.”
“What are you doing to stop trans violence?” another user demanded.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote, “An act of unspeakable gun violence that stole two precious children, just 8 and 10 years old, from their families and injured so many more at a Minneapolis school demands that we take action. We cannot allow children to live in fear of learning, worshiping or simply being kids. Gun violence is an epidemic in America, and we must do everything in our power to end it.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries raged, “Weapons of war have no place in our neighborhoods, streets or schools.”

Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin (WI) also pushed the gun control narrative.
“Another school year shouldn’t mean another tragedy. My thoughts are with the impacted families, victims still fighting for their lives, first responders, and the entire Minneapolis community. We can and must do more to protect our kids and end the scourge of gun violence,” Baldwin wrote.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, also a Democrat, raged, “We cannot even make it through the first week of school without mass shootings. And the @GOP will continue to do absolutely nothing while our kids are being gunned down. This is sick.”
Republican strategist Greg Price fired back at Newsom, writing, “He immediately gets on the internet and blames Republicans for a shooting that occurred in a Democrat city, in a Democrat state, and was committed by person who became mentally ill because of the gender ideology that Democrats supports.”

MSNBC host and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki lashed out, writing, “Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings. prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers.”

Kyle Mann, editor of the Babylon Bee, fired back, “Agreed. Instead of just praying, we must also take action and ban telling our kids they are born in the wrong body and a bunch of drugs, hormones, and surgeries will fix them.”

Daily Wire’s Megan Basham wrote, “Your party encourages mental illness in telling men they can be women, then encourages them identify as victims when the world does not indulge their perverse fantasies, and then screams “prayers are not enough” when insane transgenders shoot up schools. Prayer is vital. So is a mentally balanced populace that recognizes reality.”

Several X users are pointing to Psaki’s old tweet from June 14, 2017 when Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) was shot at a congressional baseball practice by a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter.
Psaki had written, “Thoughts and prayers with @SteveScalise and officers shot. And thank you to members, hill staffers for your public service.”

Barack Obama wrote in a statement on X, “We can’t allow ourselves to become numb to mass shootings. What happened today in Minneapolis is heartbreaking, and Michelle and I are praying for the parents who have lost a child or will be sitting at their hospital bedside after yet another act of unspeakable, unnecessary violence.”
