According to a report on CNN, written by Jake Tapper, several Democratic governors are seeking a meeting with the White House to discuss their apprehensions regarding President Joe Biden following his disappointing debate performance.

Concerns from some of the nation’s Democratic governors were raised during a Monday call organized by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, one source revealed. The call was exclusively attended by governors.

During the call, several governors expressed surprise that Biden himself had not reached out to discuss his debate performance with them. There was a consensus among them that direct communication from Biden on this issue was necessary.

Additionally, there was a discussion about the possibility of Vice President Kamala Harris addressing their concerns.

According to one source, the governors hesitated to publicly voice their concerns out of concern that it might cause Biden to become more entrenched in his position. Plans for the White House meeting are in progress but have not yet been finalized.

A source familiar with the matter indicated that the White House is considering a meeting with Democratic governors on Wednesday. The meeting is likely to involve a combination of in-person and virtual participation.
