Camping World RV Sales is in a dispute with San Joaquin County over displaying a giant American flag at its location.

The county ordered the flag’s removal in April, citing safety concerns and lack of permission, as the flagpole was installed without a building permit or planning approval. The county expressed concerns about the flagpole’s proximity to property lines and the highway.

However, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis disagreed with the decision and had the flag reinstalled on Monday.

“If we felt like we were putting people in danger or causing any issues with air traffic, which would absolutely not be OK, then I wouldn’t do it,” Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis told FOX40.

He argued that the flagpole is secure and deeply set in the ground. While he would comply with permit issues for any other flag, he insists on keeping the American flag up due to its symbolic significance.

Lemonis, an immigrant, emphasized the flag’s importance, mentioning many veterans among their employees and customers. “It’s about how we feel about this country. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a citizen,” he said.
