CRYBABY: Newsom Spends $250 Million on Gerrymandering, then Blames Trump for Lack of Fire Aid Money

From Breitbart: California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) whined Wednesday that President Donald Trump has ignored his request for $40 billion in fire aid — after launching a $250 million special election to strip Republican House seats.

The special election for “Proposition 50” will have an estimated cost of $250 million to the state — and will pull in at least that much in private donations on both sides of the issue, while fire victims wait for help.

Newsom has also spent every month of the Trump administration opposing every Trump policy, spending millions to pick fights with Trump in court, and trolling the president viciously, using incendiary rhetoric.

After the Justice Department announced the arrest of a Florida man who they say started the deadly Palisades Fire, Newsom held a press conference, and whined that he has gotten no support or funding from the government.

“What I do say, is that we need to really, now — I think — call out why the president of the United States and Congress has refused to provide support to those that have been victimized by this arsonist and this devastation,” Newsom claimed.

“Thirty-nine billion dollars, for months and months and months, and the president of the United States has said nothing,” his rant continued.

From his official governor’s account, Newsom posted the video of his remarks and wrote, “It’s been over 9 months since the Palisades and Eaton Fires tore through Los Angeles. We asked for federal support, but we haven’t heard a word from the White House. Not a single offer. Is this what leadership looks like? Abandoning the American people when they call for help?”

From his personal X account, Newsom claimed, “It’s been over 9 months since the LA fires. We have asked for federal disaster aid for months now. Not a dollar from Trump. He is abandoning Americans while building ballrooms and decorating his office gold. It’s disgusting and disqualifying.”

Meanwhile, questions have been swirling about what happened to the $100 million that was raised by Fire Aide concerts for the victims of the Palisades fire.

Newsom is being blasted for his criticism of Trump and demands for money.

Realtor Paul Ero wrote: “With all the taxes we pay in California, we shouldn’t need federal aid. I recall Governor Newsom saying in a tweet about California’s GDP being so big we could be fourth largest economy in the world. We don’t need federal aid if we manage our money properly.”

Richard Ellis asked, “Were the residents able to clean up their homes the following week as you and @MayorOfLA promised Donald Trump? Were clean building permits issued without environmental and legal red tape as you promised? How many homes have been rebuilt as they were to date?”

Just think….
If Bass had ensured people were doing their jobs, water & equipment would have been available to fight the fire.
If Gavin Newsom was doing his job, to ensure people were doing theirs.
The fire wouldn’t have happened, or kept to a minimum impact.
Deflecting for political reasons, will never stop the Country from remembering what happened & why.
You brag about California being the 4th largest economy in the world.
Yet, here you are begging for more.
What a shame you’ve put your state into financial straits, due to mismanagement & poor practices.

Billions of dollars in debt, and you still owe the federal government for the Covid unemployment loan.

The balance was approximately $21.6 billion at the end of 2024, with projections from May 2025 estimating $23.2 billion by the end of 2025 and $23.7 billion by the end of 2026. You don’t even have a plan to pay it back. ALL other states have paid it back.
Why not California?

You have already received over $2 billion in aid from the federal government. Here’s a breakdown:

• FEMA Individual Assistance: About $700 million as of early February 2025, covering grants for uninsured losses, medical expenses, and displacement (up to $770 per eligible household for essentials). By late March, this had contributed to the $2 billion total alongside SBA loans.
• FEMA Public Assistance: Over $1 billion allocated by July 2025 for debris removal, road/bridge repairs, and utilities restoration—described as a “record-breaking” program. An additional $139 million went directly to home repairs and medical aid by mid-2025.
• SBA Disaster Loans: Low-interest loans totaling around $1.3 billion approved for homeowners, renters, and businesses by March 2025, including mitigation upgrades to prevent future fires.

If you stop giving to illegals you would have additional funds. An estimated $22 BILLION annually.

You should have taken care of your own state to start with. Made sure the reservoirs had water, fire hydrants worked, etc. You did not. Don’t lay your failures at Trump feet. But Juan is happy and so are the smelt. ☺️
