From the New York Post: Two Arkansas sisters are begging for money after they were caught on camera trashing a Charlie Kirk memorial and got canned from their jobs.
Kerri, 23, and Kaylee Rollo, 22, set up a GoFundMe seeking $18,000 to cover legal fees last week after they were arrested days earlier for allegedly vandalizing a Kirk memorial of candles and signs on the Benton County Courthouse steps for the assassinated Turning Point USA co-founder.
“My sibling and I are being doxxed online and my sibling was fired from their job,” Kaylee wrote in the GoFundMe, adding that their First Amendment rights were being violated.
The pair were seen in now-viral video shredding signs about Kirk and kicking over candles, while yelling, “F–k Charlie Kirk!”
They were arrested on September 17, and their troubles began in earnest, as Kerri was fired from her restaurant job, and Kaylee’s boyfriend reportedly broke up with her and told her to move out.
Benton County Justice of the Peace Joseph Bollinger reportedly said in a scathing rebuke, “Everyone has a right to be able to express their freedom of expression. But what the issue is, is when you trample on someone’s memorial, the human act of grieving. You’re not just trampling on their freedom of expression, you’re trampling on the memory of a person. You’re trampling on our Benton County values.”
Both sisters were charged with first-degree criminal mischief, and then released on bond.
Using transgender pronouns, the whining message on the GoFundMe page reads:
After the recent events Charlie Kirk’s death, my sibling and I are being doxxed online and my sibling was fired from their job. This is direct violation of their first amendment rights and unconstitutional. This is unfortunate, but anything helps.
Please help my sibling while they look for another job and stand against the tyranny that is creeping into the country. UPDATE: MY SIBLING AND I WERE ARRESTED FOR THIS PROTEST. WE HAVE BEEN THREATENED, DOXXED, HARASSED, AND FIRED. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING FOR LEGAL COUNSEL AND COURT FEES.
The GoFundMe page for the far-left activist sisters has already raked in over $20,000. They have now upped their goal to $22,000.
Law professor Jonathan Turley commented on the case, and noted that the one redeeming moment in the story is that three boys were later seen cleaning up the mess to restore the memorial.
……They have received hundreds of donations. There was, however, a redeeming moment in all of this. After the two sisters were caught on video destroying the memorial, three boys restored the memorial. https://t.co/ESx4PUK674
