New York City has expanded a program providing illegal alien families with debit cards for food and baby essentials, spending $1.45 billion in fiscal 2023 and projecting to spend a combined $9.1 billion in fiscal years 2024 and 2025.

This initiative has sparked controversy, with some arguing that the city should prioritize its own citizens over illegal immigrants, especially as many citizens are struggling financially.

The NYPD’s efforts to combat crime and the city’s decision to turn Times Square into a pedestrian plaza have also been topics of debate, with concerns raised about public safety and the city’s image.

DML posted his own remarks regarding the announcement.
