From MySunCoast: SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Tampa Bay-area law enforcement agencies say they have rescued 60 missing children ranging in age from 9 to 17 over the last two weeks, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said.

Called Operation Dragon Eye, eight adults were arrested, including one on human trafficking charges. Uthmeier said it was the largest such operation in Florida history.

“The unique part of this operation was the fact that underaged critically missing children … were not only recovered but provided with physical and psychological care,” said U.S. Marshal William Berger. “This operation further included follow-up assistance in hopes that these youth will not return back to the streets to be further victimized.”

The recovery operation included efforts from 20 agencies, Uthmeier said, but he did not provide details about where the children were from.

The adults have been charged with offenses ranging from human trafficking, child endangerment, drug possession and drug trafficking.
