BUSTED: Substitute teacher arrested in child predator sting [Videos]

From Fox 9 Minneapolis: A man who worked as a substitute teacher is charged with several counts of disseminating child pornography and soliciting a child for sex after an online child predator sting group set up a meeting at a Minneapolis park.

Preston Casey Palmer, 34, of Minneapolis, is facing 14 criminal counts related to possession of child porn and attempting to solicit a minor for sex.

Minneapolis Park Police responded to Brackett Park on Wednesday for a report of a man who was at the park to disseminate child sex abuse material, according to a criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County Court. The complaint notes that Palmer is a teacher at a nearby elementary school.

Arriving officers said they spoke with several people who were part of “an online group aimed at uncovering online activity involving solicitation of minor for sexual acts and dissemination of child sexual material,” according to the complaint.

The report explains that Palmer had been having sexual-related conversations with someone he thought was a 13-year-old boy since March 2025. The online sting group had led Palmer into thinking that the 13-year-old boy’s father was involved in the same behavior.

Palmer had told the undercover investigator that his “age of attraction is around 8 and up.” He came to a park believing he would be meeting up with the 13-year-old boy and the father to share child sex abuse images, and handed over a flash drive.

The group then called police, and Palmer realized he was busted.

A criminal complaint states that the flash drive contained images of children believed to be as young as five years old, performing sexual acts.

Alex Rosen, a member of the sting group, posted a series of videos of the shocking post.

“It all started when Preston Palmer, a substitute elementary school teacher, hit up our 13-year-old decoy. He immediately began grooming him and attempting to entice him with child p*rn. You can safely assume this isn’t his first time,” Rosen explained.

Here he talks about a previous incident involving him and a 3rd grader. Who knows how many victims this guy has.
