Investigative journalist James O’Keefe released a bombshell report this week exposing a senior official at Meta, the social media giant and parent company of Facebook, as admitting that they intentionally hide posts which are negative about Kamala Harris.

Moreover, the officially brazenly admitted that they have the ability to influence the election, admitted the agenda is to help the Democrat Party, and claimed CEO Mark Zuckerberg is in full support of the efforts.

This comes after Zuckerberg had sent a letter in August to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and revealed that the Biden-Harris administration pressured his company, which includes Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, to censor free speech during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Zuckerberg pledged in his letter to remain neutral, avoid any appearance of bias, and said he would not make political contributions moving forward.

Zuckerberg had also admitted that Facebook was wrong to temporarily demote a New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop during the 2020 election after officials falsely claimed it was part of a “Russian disinformation operation.”

Now, it appears that letter has all gone out the window.

O’Keefe posted a 10-minute video this week of a senior software engineer at Meta admitting they censor stories deemed to be ‘misinformation’. He wrote:

BREAKING: Senior Meta Engineer Reveals Anti-Kamala Posts Are “Automatically Demoted,” Admits Shadowbanning Tactics

“Say your uncle in Ohio said something about Kamala Harris is unfit to be a president because she doesn’t have a child, that kind of sh*t is automatically demoted,” reveals @Meta Senior Software Engineer, Jeevan Gyawali (@JGyawali), to an undercover @OKeefeMedia journalist during a hidden camera date. He confirmed, “The person would not be notified,” but would see a decline in their post engagement and impressions, explaining that Meta’s “Integrity Team” is responsible for controlling content through “civic classifiers,” a system that “shadowbans” posts without notifying users.

Gyawali also revealed a specialized Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team that was created at Meta, stating, “There is a SWAT team that’s already set up since April… just to think about all the scenarios of how the platform could be abused.” When asked if Meta is doing their due diligence to protect democracy from disinformation, Gyawali ensured “that’s all going to be demoted 100%.”

When asked, “You guys [Meta] have the ability to influence the outcome of the election?” Gyawali confirmed, “Yes,” admitting Meta’s power to sway political outcomes. When asked if Mark Zuckerberg (@finkd), Co-Founder and CEO and Meta, supports Meta’s political influence and agenda to help the Democratic Party, Gyawali answered, “100%.”

A followup post reads:

James O’Keefe contacted Jeevan Gyawali to request comment regarding hidden camera footage in which Gyawali discusses Meta’s censorship practices. Upon hearing the details, Gyawali responded, “Ah, f*ck,” before quickly ending the call.

His comment speaks for itself.

META RESPONDS

Meta spokesperson Andy Stone claimed Gyawali was just trying to impress a date, and claimed the censorship was simply “fact-checking.” He wrote:

I 𝑡𝑜𝑙𝑑 you people will say anything to impress a date! After all, fact checking is yet another program Meta has been public about for years.

Independent fact-checkers, who don’t work for Meta, review content. This is not a secret; we have described it repeatedly. Those fact-checkers do not have the ability to remove content, accounts or Pages. And if you don’t like fact checking, you have the option to turn it down.

O’Keefe fired back, mockingly writing, “Because NOTHING makes a girl hornier than an engineer bragging about specific engineer censorship practices! Duh. 🙄.”

Stone’s response continues…

This is something Meta has been public about for years: we show less political content of 𝒂𝙡𝒍 kinds and 𝒂𝙡𝒍 viewpoints because users have told us they want to see less of it.

As for the date night assertions about Mark Zuckerberg, sure can’t blame the guy for trying to impress his date by suggesting he knows what Mark thinks—certainly not the first and undoubtedly not the last to try that one.
