From the New York Post: Not even Fox News anchors are immune from President Trump’s law-and-order push in Washington, DC.
An eagle-eyed cop spotted “Special Report” host and Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier picking up his phone while driving in the capital’s tony Georgetown neighborhood Saturday.
Video captured by Mollaan Babbington Group, a real estate firm in DC, showed the moment Baier was pulled over in a white Mercedes-Benz G-Class, also known as a G-Wagon.

Baier responded to all the buzz on social media over the police stop.
“I picked up my ringing phone as I drove past an officer while driving my wife’s car in Georgetown. He pointed to have me pull over- I did. He was very professional. I had to dig for the registration card. Got a ticket and left. I didn’t know there was paparazzi. 🙄,” he wrote.

One X user asked, “Darn it Brett! Don’t you have car play in that beast or bluetooth through the dash!? No need to touch a phone!! Be safe out there. We need those GOAT interviews to keep coming!”
Baier replied, “It’s not my car. The phone wasn’t set up. I will. Thanks.”

Another person suggested, “Try hands free bluetooth . Pair your phone in all your cars.”
Baier responded, “Already done. That day. Thanks.”

Many people commenting on the Instagram video are noting that there’s no problems at all with police when you comply and are respectful.
Oh wow! Look if you don’t resist you don’t get hurt, crazy.
Wow, that’s absolutely crazy. He provided his drivers license and registration with no issues. He was polite and non-confrontational. I’m not sure why the use of force was not used, but apparently none was required!
Ok and he didn’t act before he just took his ticket and said thank you. 🤷🏾♂️
I bet he didn’t even ask for a supervisor!!
And look, he’s legal, behaved well and was sent on his way. Good work police and Brett.
Did anyone else realize how quick he was on his way without having to record or cause drama because he was pulled over. They are as human as you and I. They don’t get shot or arrested because he complied and was on his way.
Oh wow, he provided his paperwork and didn’t get his window shattered!
Wow. He followed the officers directions and went home. AMAZING!!!!
X users are pointing out the same thing:
It was fun watching it this morning and you were very calm and professional. No yelling, spitting, claiming privilege or refusing to give ID. Good job!

@BretBaier was very professional as well. Most of us do not have our minor traffic offenses published on social media.

Brett, that car is banging. So basically, you complied with the police officers lawful orders, you gave your information and received your ticket for talking on the phone while driving. It is so easy to be a stand up person and act accordingly.
Now why can’t others do this…
