BREAKING: White House responds after Democrats release Epstein emails, redact victim’s name

3

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has released a statement, in reaction to the three Epstein emails released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee Wednesday morning.

In each of the three emails, President Donald Trump is mentioned.

In one of the emails, dated Jan. 31, 2019, Epstein admits that now-President Donald Trump told Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell to stop recruiting young girls from the spa at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

Democrats and liberal media are especially zoning in on another email, dated April 2, 2011, in which Epstein wrote to his associated Ghislaine Maxwell: “i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him, he has never once been mentioned…”

The Democrats redacted the victim’s name in their release. Soon after, the Daily Mail posted a copy of the UN-redacted email, which shows the victim reference was Virginia Giuffre – who had both testified and also written in her memoir that Trump never did anything wrong.

The Daily Mail noted that Giuffre, who committed suicide earlier this year, was recruited by Maxwell while employed as a spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago Club in 2000 when she was 16 years old.

In a statement released to the media, Leavitt blasted Democrats and plainly stated that the redacted name was Giuffre.

Leavitt wrote:

The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump. The ‘unnamed victim’ referenced in these emails is the late Virginia Giuffre, who repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and ‘couldn’t have been friendlier’ to her in their limited interactions.

The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre. These stories are nothing more than bad-faith efforts to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments, and any American with common sense see right through this hoax and clear distraction from the government opening back up again.”

The Oversight Democrats released the three emails on X Wednesday morning, and dramatically wrote, “Oversight Dems have received new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes. Read them for yourself. It’s time to end this cover-up and RELEASE THE FILES.”

Republicans on the Oversight Committee then fired back, blasting Democrats for redacting Giuffre’s name.

“Why did Democrats cover up the name when the Estate didn’t redact it in the redacted documents provided to the committee? It’s because this victim, Virginia Giuffre, publicly said that she never witnessed wrongdoing by President Trump.”

“Democrats are trying to create a fake narrative to slander President Trump. Shame on them,” Republicans wrote.
