Former President Donald Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, was just 10 minutes into his speech at a rally in Detroit, Michigan Friday night when his microphone suddenly went dead.

However, the room did not go silent.  Since Trump was unable to speak, the fired-up audience did it for him, breaking out into chants of “USA!” and “We love Trump!”

After a few minutes, an aide brought Trump another microphone. He tried that one, but it didn’t work either.

A message on the large screen in the room read, “Technical difficulties, complicated business.”

Trump was left speechless on the stage for nearly 20 minutes, but the crowd continued their chants and cheers, and the energy in the room never once died out.

When the microphone was finally restored, the crowd erupted into wild applause, and Trump resumed his speech.

He first said, “So now what happens is I won’t pay the bill for this stupid company that rented us this crap! I won’t pay the bill, and then we’ll have a story that ‘Trump won’t pay the bill.'”

Of course, the Harris campaign quickly taunted Trump, posting a video clip and mocking, “An exhausted Trump awkwardly walks in circles on stage after his microphone stops working.”
