President Donald Trump announced in a Truth Social post Saturday evening that the U.S. military has bombed three Iranian nuclear sites.
With the airstrikes, the United States has now officially joined Israel in their efforts to take out Iran’s ability to build a nuclear weapon.
The Associated Press reported: The decision to directly involve the U.S. comes after more than a week of strikes by Israel on Iran that have moved to systematically eradicate the country’s air defenses and offensive missile capabilities, while damaging its nuclear enrichment facilities. But U.S. and Israeli officials have said that American stealth bombers and a 30,000-lb. bunker buster bomb they alone can carry offered the best chance of destroying heavily-fortified sites connected to the Iranian nuclear program buried deep underground.
President Trump announced on Truth Social at 7:50 pm ET:
We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space.
A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It appears that the B-2s heading to Guam were the perfect distraction for an actual strike operation against Iran. I wonder what aircraft and munitions were used for the strikes, likely the B-52s from Diego Garcia or possibly additional B-2s.
