BREAKING: Trans suspect identified who attacked VP JD Vance’s home

The person who vandalized Vice President JD Vance’s home has been identified as a biological male who identifies as female.

From the Daily Mail: The hammer-wielding suspect accused of smashing four windows at Vice President JD Vance’s Ohio home is a transgender woman who enjoyed a luxurious upbringing filled with privilege.

William D DeFoor, 26, was charged early Monday with one count each of obstructing official business, criminal damaging or endangering, criminal trespass and vandalism after an overnight break-in at Vance’s $1.4 million Cincinnati residence.

DeFoor – who is understood to have gone by Davis while attending an elite $27,000 per year Catholic high school – appears to have transitioned to female and now goes by the name Julia.

The Cincinnati-native grew up in the affluent Hyde Park neighborhood in a $1.3 million home with his surgeon father, William, and pediatrician mother, Catherine DeFoor, both registered Democrats, and two younger siblings, Libby and Alex.

The father, William DeFoor, Jr., is a pediatric urologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The mother is a general pediatrician at a St Elizabeth Physicians primary care facility in Kentucky, the report explains.

Both parents are reportedly registered Democrats, donated over $11,000 to Kamala Harris in 2024, and also donated to Joe Biden in 2020.

The report explains the the younger DeFoor, originally known as David, graduated high school in 2018, from The Summit Country Day School, a prestigious private school in Cincinnati.

Just last year, he created a new Facebook page under the name Julia DeFoor.

Fox News reported that DeFoor already has a criminal record, and in October 2024, Hamilton County Court approved an application granting DeFoor’s mother legal guardianship, finding him incompetent by reason of mental illness.

In April 2023, DeFoor was charged with trespassing at the University of Cincinnati Health Psychiatric Emergency Services, but the case was dismissed after it was determined he was incompetent to stand trial.

Again in 2024, he was charged with two counts of vandalism after windows at a Hyde Park business were broken, but was referred for mental health treatment instead of a conviction.

Vice President Vance released the following statement:

I appreciate everyone’s well wishes about the attack at our home. As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows. I’m grateful to the secret service and the Cincinnati police for responding quickly.

We weren’t even home as we had returned already to DC.

One request to the media: we try to protect our kids as much as possible from the realities of this life of public service. In that light, I am skeptical of the news value of plastering images of our home with holes in the windows.
