From Daily Mail: After a marathon two months and mountains of evidence, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been convicted of the two least serious charges he faced – and cleared of the most grim.
The rapper, 55, still faces 20 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution for his treatment of ex-girlfriends Cassie Ventura and ‘Jane’, a woman so traumatized she used a pseudonym throughout.
He was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy – the top charge – and sex trafficking, the most crucial.
Combs must now fight to reduce his sentence.
So far no details have been released abut when he will be sentenced.
In her closing argument, prosecutor Christy Slavik argued that Diddy used violence, coercion, and drugging to force women into sexual encounters, portraying him as a controlling and abusive individual.
Cassie, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, was the prosecution’s star witness, who was noticeably pregnant.
Slavik said Diddy “doesn’t take no for an answer” and described him as the “leader of a criminal enterprise” heading a group of “loyal lieutenants” who to protect him.
Emily Anne Johnson, another prosecutor, said: “Let me be very clear…this case is not about a celebrity’s private sexual preferences. The evidence will show the sexual conduct at issue in this case was coercive and criminal because the defendant made women have sex when they didn’t want to.”
Diddy’s defense argued that his relationships with women were toxic and driven by jealousy, but not criminal. His lawyers claimed he was a flawed individual, not a sex trafficker.
Political commentator Graham Allen was not happy with the verdict.
“The Diddy verdicts are an EMBARRASSMENT to our justice system….” he wrote on X. “He should have been thrown in a hole for the rest of his life! “ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!”

Another X user wrote, “The celebrity elites continue to get a away with their crimes and the victims are left behind. The Epstein clients and now Diddy’s clients. Sickening.”
