BREAKING: RFK Jr. considering dropping out to ‘join forces’ with rival candidate, running mate says

From the New York Post: Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering dropping out of the 2024 race to “join forces” with former President Donald Trump, his running mate revealed Tuesday.

“There’s two options that we’re looking at, and one is staying in, forming that new party, but we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and [Tim] Walz presidency because we draw votes from Trump,” Nicole Shanahan, the independent candidate’s vice presidential pick, said during an appearance on the “Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu” podcast.

The other option?

“We walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump … and we explain to our base why we’re making this decision,” Shanahan said.

Shanahan appeared to be under no illusions that RFK has a chance of winning, but said if he stays in the race and gets over 5% of the vote, they would establish themselves as a real party, and would qualify for $13.5 million in federal funds.

This would give them a pile of money to position themselves as a third party option in 2028.

However, she then acknowledged that if they stay in the race, and draw votes from Trump, it could potentially allow Harris to win the White House.

Tuesday afternoon, Shanahan blasted the Democratic donors who have been suing their campaign. She wrote: “Clear Choice PAC—the most undemocratic, anti-American PAC in the game—has been suing our campaign in nearly every major jurisdiction with frivolous lawsuits to get us removed from the ballots. Seventy-one percent of Americans want a viable third-party choice. The American public, through this massive ballot effort, delivered it. Blood, sweat, and tears went into the biggest effort for democracy in my lifetime.”

“WHO IS CLEAR CHOICE PAC? Ron Conway and Reid Hoffman—the largest Democratic Party puppeteers who use their candidates to do things like bail out Silicon Valley Bank, specifically benefiting venture capitalists (which is what they are). They are ruthless saboteurs of democracy.”

Trump supporter Gunther Eagleman replied, “Welcome to the party, they tried this with Trump too. Trump is the only way out of this, it’s time for you two to withdraw and endorse Trump.”

Shanahan also blasted Kamala Harris for her communist-like economic agenda.

“Kamala Harris’s economic plans, particularly her flawed ideas about price caps on food and the misconception that farmers are responsible for price gouging, echo the very policies that caused the famine my family suffered through in Mao’s Communist China. Our path forward as a nation lies in supporting our farmers, who care for our land and produce the real, nutritious food we rely on,” she wrote.

Kennedy wrote in a social media post on Tuesday, “As always, I am willing to talk with leaders of any political party to further the goals I have served for 40 years in my career and in this campaign. These are: reversing the chronic disease epidemic, ending the war machine, cleaning corporate influence out of government and toxic pollution out of the environment, protecting freedom of speech, and ending politicization of enforcement agencies.”

Eagleman responded, “The only way out is Trump…! Withdraw from the race and make the sensible choice Robert.”
