The Cybertruck explosion outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas is now being investigated as a potential ‘act of terror,’ according to an ABC News report.

ABC News wrote: The driver pulled into the valet area of the hotel and the vehicle exploded, according to an official. The driver is apparently dead and, so far, the only casualty from the incident. Seven bystanders had minor injuries, authorities said.

An official briefed on the probe told ABC News that the Tesla Cybertruck had a load of fireworks-style mortars onboard. Investigators are urgently working to determine a motive and whether the driver intended to set off an explosion and why.

Until a motive is determined and other possibilities are ruled out, police are treating the explosion like a possible criminal act and a possible act of terror. Evidence collection and investigation are ongoing.

More from the Daily Mail: A Cybertruck that exploded outside the front doors of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday is being investigated as an act of terrorism.

A car – made by Trump ally Elon Musk’s company Tesla – was seen in a fiery blaze outside the front revolving doors of the hotel, social media video showed, killing one and injuring seven, according to Las Vegas police.

Sheriff Kevin McMahill said police are treating the explosion as an act of terror, alongside the New Orleans event….

The incident occurred just hours after an Islamic terror attack was committed in New Orleans, killing at least 10 people and injuring 35 others.

In Las Vegas, the Cybertruck pulled up and parked just outside the front entrance of the Trump hotel.  Then surveillance footage shows the vehicle suddenly exploding in a blazing inferno.

New video has now surfaced of the horrifying moment the truck exploded:

During a press conference, a law enforcement office added that they are well aware of what happened in New Orleans as well, and added that with this Cybertruck incident at a Trump hotel, “There are a lot of questions we have to answer.”

Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo announced on X, “My office is coordinating with @LVMPD and partner agencies on this incident response, and we will continue to ensure they have all necessary resources available.”

A video first posted to social media by X user @kaaaassuu shows a huge inferno, as the truck was engulfed in flames, while several smaller explosions were heard.

“Cybertruck blew up in front of Trump hotel in Las Vegas. Those are our luggage by the door and that’s where we were when it happened,” the user wrote.

Someone asked if the incident appeared to be accidental or intention.

“Not sure but now it is an active crime scene they said,” @kaaaassuu replied.

“It was 8:40 and was pretty chilly so decided to wait for our cab inside instead. Otherwise we would’ve been injured or dead,” the woman explained.

They still don’t know if their luggage is ok.

“I first thought it was loaded with fireworks or something. It started off like colourful fireworks,” the woman added.

In additional posts, the witness wrote:

“I and my husband were literally standing where the luggage is in the footage. I just saw it pulled up, and it lowered itself like a bus, and boom it goes. It first looked like fireworks or something but then I immediately feared our life thinking it could be a bomb and ran.

“We’re very thankful to be alive. I was curious to see who the driver was, but unable to see anyone. It could have been driving itself but can’t say for sure.”

She said it was about 15 seconds after the Cybertruck pulled up to the hotel that it exploded.

“It exploded. It quietly pulled up and next thing you know there’s a huge explosion,” she explained.

Another video posted to social media from blocks away shows smoke billowing from the front of the hotel.
